OT: Another message board meltdown

As a Notre Dame Football Fanatic...

First off, we had a football game that went the length of a day of a cricket match, that's going to make any fan/coach/player mad (except for the winning side). I expected a lot more out of all of our boys. I think we can really achieve if the Sideline Kelly shows up for practice all this week. I think his actions were completely justified. He's coached them and they were forgetting or something. Just trying to spark the team. (They did considerably better after they were yelled at). It's FOOTBALL for Christ sake. It's a man's game, and if you don't do what you were asked to do, there will be repercussions. Throwing an INT a FOOT from the goal line on the opening drive of the season will loose you the starting job.

The first delay I didn't mind, but there was a momentum shift going in the final four minutes that could have turned the game into at least overtime. I was really upset, but I didn't really expect any different at that point. I'm hopeful for next week at Michigan, but it's time to move on.

A couple really bad losses have already occurred....

Big Ten's Indiana loses to Ball State
Oregon goes down to LSU
#14 TCU lost to Baylor
#16 Notre Dame loses to South Florida
Oregon State loses to Sacramento State
and UNI came within a point of upending Iowa State
Colorado loses to Hawaii
and here's one that you probably didn't hear -- FCS Northern Colorado loses to NAIA Lindenwood
Valpo loses to NAIA Franklin

Never have figured out why a team will gain 6-8 yards on the ground the first play and then pass the next 2 downs before they punt. I didn't see the whole game, but what I did see they did that quite a bit in the first half. Also a bad break on the opening drive didn't help.

That's quite a list already! That TCU loss is particularly damaging to their BCS hopes. Did not hear about the Oregon State loss, but is Sacramento State even in the FBS division?

Oooh boy! I don't even want to venture towards the Notre Dame message board tonight after that choke job of a loss to Michigan!
