I know we rave about Ronnie Wright's great work with our guys, but SIU's strength coach needs some props as well. Everyone on their team that's getting minutes is absolutely ripped. They may not be as skilled as some teams, but they are as big and physical as any team we'll see all season.

The game is all but over. SIU was actually hitting a bunch of 3-point shots, and MSU wasn't hiiting anything. The only thing I would worry about if I was an SIU fan is that their starters played a lot of minutes. They don't go very deep into their bench.

Also, Falker has hit 21-26 (80.8%) free throws in their 3 games. Last season he was a 54.3% free throw shooter. He was 48.9% as a freshman, and 54.7% as a soph. So he apparently has really improved his foul shooting. That will win them as couple more games alone.

Despite Bone shooting Miss St out of their zone defense, I think that we need to give them a heavy dose of zone. They don't handle it well and don't seem to have the shooters to be able to deal with it effectively. I also double Falker every time he touches the ball on the block and force him to pass out of it.

Northern Iowa has caught up and it is now 31-29, UNI ahead early in the 2nd half

Texas A&M blew out Ohio State in the second half and went on to win 70-47

Illinois State down by 10, 27-17 late in the 1st half against Indiana

Don't look now, but Illinois St down just 50-48 against #8 Indiana with ten minutes to go in the second half! Wouldn't that be something if they can pull this one out!

Even if ISU loses, gotta give them props on the defensive effort. Holding IU to roughly 70 points when they hadn't been held to 95 points or less this season.

Jason

ISU should send a thank you note to Lance Stemler...he is keeping them in the game.
He shoulda gone mid-major.

Anyway, Eric Gordon is all IU has...as Gordon has 29 points...
Levi Dyer has 15, Anthony Slack 13, Osiris only 7 and 0-6 from 3-pt range.

IU now up 11 with under 3 minutes to go
65-54

ISU's front court is carrying them.....
their entire guard corps, Eldridge, Holloway, Holtz, Johnson, Richardson, Rubin, and even count Vandello since he plays like a guard
have a total of only 18 points between them.....less than King O's average.

The front court guys (Levy, Slack, Dinma) between the three of them have 36 points.

Another thing that is a complete surprise to me given the hype the guy got...
Jamarcus Ellis can't shoot worth a lick.
His shots look like a Shaq free throw.

Hmm...time slipping away..this one is in the loss column for the Valley...
ISU now down 66-54 only a minute to play

Well, ISU's not even the best team in the Valley. This gives me a good feeling that Indiana will fall when they quit playing power puffs.
