Post Season Player Transfer Thread

What's going on at UConn??

Another of their top young players,
sophomore Rob Garrison wants out and is transferring.

Another kid, 7ft 3-inch freshman center Hasheem Thabeet is also likely to leave and enter the NBA draft and one more, Jeff Adrien is rumored to be leaving to transfer to Boston College.

Could the head coach there, Jim Calhoun, the National Coach of the Year twice and Big East COY four times, be in trouble or on the hot seat after a very dismal 6-10 Big East season, losing 14 of their final 20 games, and a one game exit from the Big East Tourney?

No way Thabeet is ready for the League. He can hardly walk and chew gum at the same time, he's terrible...

Another UConn player has announced his intent to transfer, Craig Austrie.
Will someone please find out what's going on at UConn.
(What's being published is that head coach Calhoun is very unhappy with the play of the present team mambers, and has told them he is going to add what ever it takes (new recruits or jucos) to get better players.)

So that's what ... possibly four players leaving UConn? Calhoun is dirty maybe it's finally coming back to bite him in the butt.

Two Wake Forest players are leaving and transferring
Casey Crawford & Shermaine "Joe" Dukes.

Crawford could end up at Wichita St. They were falling all over themselves talking about him on shockernet last year. I know they wanted him really bad at one time.

Perhaps he could wind up in the Valley. I know many Shocker fans expected an LOI from him in the Fall of '05.

I remember Wichita wanting the kid, he is from Overland Park, Kansas.
He also had a bunch of other schools recruiting him and several offers according to Rivals. But often these kind of transfers like to find someplace closer to home (like Danny Granger said he did!).
I thought Wichita State did not have any more scholarships? As far as transfers go, Kyle Wilson turned out OK, but Phil Thomasson was a little disappointing.

Beverley was and still is a little ticked that he wasn't more strongly recruited by Illinois, and
he took it as a personal slap in the face.
Even recently, after his good freshman season at Arkansas, he spoke publicly to a Chicago Trib reporter in this manner:

"Y'all need to holler at Bruce Weber, too, man. Tell him, 'I told you so.'"
"I want that in the paper," Beverley said, then emphasizing his next three words like an exasperated parent commanding a defiant toddler: "Tell. Bruce. Weber: Does he still doubt me? I want that in the paper."

There are growing rumors of a couple of top Chicago area players, both sophomores, thinking of leaving the schools they're at and transferring back to the area.

One is Bobby Frasor at UNC, who simply hasn't seen the court much at North Carolina after spending his freshman year there as starting PG. The guy taking all the playing time is freshman Ty Lawson who is coming back again next season, so Bobby's PT isn't going to get better.
Rumors have it that Bobby has talked with some people at DePaul and Illinois.

Brandon Ewing, the top player at Wyoming is possibly going to leave after the coaching change there.
Ewing's 19.9ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.5 spg averages make him one of the most attractive potential transfers this spring.
