Quadruple double

Quad-doubles are pretty rare at any level, especially at the HS level, since you only have 32 minutes per game to gather stats, unlike 40 minutes at college and 48 minutes in the NBA.

Here is a kid, Joe Burton, at Hemet, CA, West Valley High who had
24 points, 27 rebounds, 10 blocks, 10 assists, and they guy almost had a quintuple double, as he also had 7 turnovers!!
(his team had 36 turnovers, and yet they still won this game 107-85)

ps-- only four quadruple doubles have ever occurred in the NBA
Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks.
Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals.
Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks.
David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks.

I can find no evidence of it ever happening in mens junior college, or college until this year!!!!
The very first quadruple double ever recorded in the NCAA was 11/14/07

....has anyone ever seen this at any other level??
I found a couple examples in HS, but not well documented, as many high schools
just don't have the stat crews colleges and pros do.

E-mail that to Les and get this guy a campus visit LOL. Sounds like the ball is in his hands at all times.

It might be too late. Here is an article on Hoopmasters about the kid (it requires a subscription).--

It reports--
6-8 Joe Burton of West Valley has been having an great junior season after losing over 50 pounds since July that he gained after a severe ankle sprain in the spring that forced him to miss 4 months.
He led West Valley over Cerritos Gahr with a quadruple double-- 24 points, 27 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 blocks.
Coaches from UCLA, USC, Missouri, San Diego State, UC Riverside, Long Beach State, Boise State, UC Santa Barbara, UC Irvine, CAL, Washington and Cal State Fullerton were all in attendance.

Actually, basketball isn't Joe Burton's only sport .....

Read this story to find out what else is..........

Boys high school volleyball is quite popular in California.

I imagine that young man is already locked up for UCLA to replace Love LOL. You know they'll throw a little "hometown" discount his way.
