question for BU fans

honest question, I received my renewal for the Sycamore varsity club and in it, it lists all the MVC schools and how many MVC championships each school has won from 2000-2010 (in all sports). Bradley was the only MVC school to not win a single MVC championship in any sport in that time frame. I was curious when the last time Bradley won an MVC title in any sport? thanks

I thought the Cheerleading squad won a title recently.... oh wait, that's right... that's not a sport. ;)

Didn't soccer win the MVC like 4 out of the last 5 or 6 years?

Basketball was '88. Ahhh, the Reagan years.... lolz! That was b4 I was even born! Hawkins and Les. oh well, i've heard enough about it from my grandparents and parents. I may as well have been there! BU-ISU final @ Carver for the title... must've been crazy!

Les wasn't on that team - he'd graduated two years earlier - but like many games of The Hawk era, it was a tremendous butt whipping. Oh, how I miss the days when we would simply pound inferior teams into submission and even win games when we played poorly. Viva Hersey.

A question for you, "What have you learned about the quality of the Sycamore VC research dept?" ;)

you know what, I went back and looked at that brochure and found out what was wrong, the brochure lists all the MVC championships that other MVC teams have won from 2000-2010 that ISU fields teams in. So since ISU doesn't field a men's soccer team, and they didn't field a women's golf team until 2008 maybe then they don't compare those sports to the other MVC schools.

Does that make a little more sense? It did for me once I reread it. Sorry for the mix up. I knew Bradley couldn't have thrown an 0-fer for the decade.

ISU only fields 5 mens' teams (FB, BB, CC, track, baseball) and 7 womens' teams (BB, VB, soccer, track, CC, softball, and golf).

Get ready - I believe those are going to be back

Similar predictions/proclamations have been made on this site by T and other believers every year following the NCAA BU team in '05-06. ;-)

That is why they call themselves "believers".........or Cubs fans!

Will check back with you on this next summer!

If you are a savant, I'll have to eat this post!

PS - The best years in recent BU MBB history were the Donewald vs Versace years...The Versace wigs worn by ISU students were classic during these rivalries....Both gyms rocked when BU-ISU played each other....super sellouts, hardest ticket to get....

oh, I heard somewhere Versace is going back to coaching this year or next. Any idea if this is true? If so, would he consider goin back to BU? (Speculation)
