But we give up way too many points in the paint that some adjustments are long overdue. SIU, which is not a very physical or big team scored 38 points in the paint against us Tuesday. That is probably more than they have scored all year inside against anyone, and a sign of a defensive problem that needs some tweaking. I suspect I am like most fans. I wouldn't care if we foul a bit more, we need to be more physical inside.
But I actually don't think it would lead to an increase in overall fouls. We already foul a lot because we are late to react to opposing players getting the ball inside, and that leads to fouls and three point plays. Maybe by being more assertive and taking an occasional "hard foul" we would see teams become a little more hesitant to take the ball right to the basket for easy layups.

+6 I'm including my wife and kids on this one too!+1
I guess we have to wait until we get to 6-16 to make adjustments? smh
Play At and JP at the same time. Even though AT isn't neccessarily a threat on offense, he alters shots and runs the floor well. And the team seems to have more positives when AT is in the game.

maybe he should just worry about how he can coach his UC Davis team out of the cellar!!
JP really needs to work on his defensive positioning in the off-season. He gets beat a lot.
JP has been almost nonexistent on the defensive end in the games I've seen this year. People go right around him. It might be an energy level issue with him.

Exactly
I know it wouldn't be a great stat for basketball but I wish there was a +/- stat for basketball players. In hockey its the greatest stat IMO since you can track who is doing damage to your team.
