I think that we need a shot clock in the elite eight. I sat and watched Simeon hold the ball for 2 straight minutes at the top of the key in the third quarter. They inbounded the ball and Rose just stood up by half-court until 5 min. left in the quarter until a Richwoods kid, Dehm I believe, finally went up to guard him. I was so aggravated that I about changed the channel. Luckily it wsa a 3 pt. game so I couldn't change it, but come on. If you look at the score of the final 31-29 in OT? Patrick Beverly could have beat richwoods by himself. He averaged 31 ppg throughout the season. Now I know ball control is important, and it is the STATE TITLE game, but come on Carver was rockin', these fans deserve better. Another rant on the state title game. Is Bill Cole any good. Yes, he was a defensive force 10reb., 3 or 4 blocks. But, for a kid that signed to play in the Big 10, he needs to bulk up and get more confidence. The dehm kid is amazing, reminds me alot of Jake Motteler from Central. Bill Cole must get better and BIGGER if he wants to help the Illini. He's got alot of hype, but plays more like James Baptist. Yeah, I said it James Baptist. He's too skinny, way, way, way too skinny. I'm rooting for him to get better, but if he doesn't bulk up looks like Weber wasted another scholarship.
