Rick Majerus- dead at age 64

Very sad - as young as he was...

on ESPN a few of the commentators gave their thoughts - and I was really disappointed listening to Digger Phelps who cracked jokes about how much Majerus could eat and how he once put down an entire shrimp cocktail that was meant to serve six people...I thought Digger picked the wrong time to joke and was very disrespectful...

It's one thing to joke about a person in a lighthearted way after they died, especially if they were friends. But to joke about what likely killed him, that being his obesity that led to his heart issues at an early age, probably was not the best thing to do.

I understand that Rick enjoyed life to the fullest in that he had a great passion for food and was always talking about where he would eat when he was with on the road and/or with friends, and he probably enjoyed living life in the present while knowing that he was putting his health at risk. But that really did sound bizzare that Digger would pick this time to mention his eating habits, literally just a few hours after he passed away!

Another reason that I can't stand Digger!
