Starting five, again!!!

Ruff
Crouch
Salley
Austin
Wilson

Next in order of minutes off the bench...
Cole Scott
Warren
Collins
Egolf
Sam M
Sam S
Thompson

I like the starting five and their flexibility. We have plenty coming off the bench and I think a couple of the new guys will surprise. I believe Sam M. and Egolf will play much better than freshman normally do.

Austin is a sure bet but I like the fact you have Collins in there. If Collins is starting we will be in great shape. I hope you are right........

I would still like to see A. Warren in the starting line up. I like the fact he has a year of experience under his belt and is MVC "battle tested". I think AW is ready for a break-out year!

I know I don't post on here much, but I do a lot of lurking. In my personal opinion, I feel that Andrew Warren is going to have a phenomonal year. I think he is going to grow into one of the best 4 year players that bradley has seen in awhile. But that's just me, if I'm wrong, I'll eat my words, but I sure hope not...

Can we start calling him A-dub?

i don't see salley austin and collins in all at once considering those are all post players and we like to run a 4 guard offense

I'll go with 4 of the returning players and 1 newbie.....

Ruffin
Crouch
Warren
Salley
Austin

Also, with SS making strides in his recovery, I wouldn't be surprised to see him log some heavy minutes early in the season.

unless a injury happens to one of our promising big guys collins austin and salley... SS will still not see minutes... he is not athletic enough to run our offense and if we use the 4 guard offense again he will be the "4th-string" big guy

Ditto for me. I won't be surprised to see Egolf getting increasing time as the year goes on though.

I think the starting lineup will be:

Ruffin
Crouch
Warren
Austin
Collins

I don't see us using the same type of offense as last year. I think we use a modified version of last year's offense depending on match-ups.. On paper, this team has the depth to run and gun and we can also put the bigs in to pound the ball inside.

Sam has not been healthy and has tried to play at less than 100%

Let's see what he can do when he's healthy. I think he'll surprise some people, especially early in the season.

I'll copy this one. It's tough to make a really good lineup with having not seen so many of the players. Hopefully, one of the new guys will be better than the returning players.

I think 4-guard offense was a necessity thing. That being said, as well as the coaches and players know it, I think you'll see it to exploit matchups and game situations. With the depth in the post play I think you'll see a traditional basketball set quite often next year, with a 3-guard set for as much or more. I don't think you'll see the 4-guard that often though.

I would love to put Warren in the starting five but his strength concerns me. If he could bulk up during the off season and get stronger he could be a major factor.

I agree. I think that the competition for minutes may be an incentive to push Warren to be a better player.

I'll go with:

Ruffin

I think Warren and Salley off the bench first will provide a great spark to the team. I could see Salley starting over Collins though too. Cole-Scott will be off the bench quickly too.

Crouch

I wouldn't be suprised if Cole-Scott pushed for a starting spot either. If he's as good as advertised (i.e. Will Franklin), it will be hard to keep him off the court.

I think all of the different lineups tell us that despite the defections and subsequent replacements, we're still a very deep team.

Please no with the A-dub... Why can't the current generation come up with better nicknames than just abbreviating the person's name? JC, A-Rod, etc. It is starting to make me sick to my stomach. What every happened to the creativity? What ever happened to nicknames like Shoeless Joe, Dizzy Dean, etc. etc.?

This should be the first, full healthy summer on the hilltop for SS. There is certaintly a good possibility for a large improvement to be made.
