Taking Friday afternoon off anyone in SF

Trust me, if I was anywhere from Portland to LA, I'd join ya, Pete,
but I have to stay within beeper range, since somone still has to cover the shop back here. ;)

Yup, I'm old school, and my beeper still has only one function, displaying the number...not like the 100 function beepers the some wear than can do everything from tie your shoes to wash dishes.

Thanks T! So far it seems I'm the only SF poster on this sight. I'm sure there are a few alumni here in the bay area. I'll just have to head to the local watering hole by myself. I'm sure I'll run into a CU fan. During the Sweet 16 run I started out as the only BU fan while we played KU by the end of the game 1/2 the bar was cheering them on and buying me beers.:D

By the way-- Happy Birthday SF Pete!

I hope the Braves have a pleasant birthday present for you to be delivered Friday.:D

That was one of the best parts of the run. I was with the golf team in Florida playing a tournament and by the end of the week everyone was cheering for us. The Pitt game started right as everyone was coming off the course in the final round of the tournament and we ended up watching the whole game in the clubhouse with about 5 other teams from the east coast and the south rooting for us. It was a great time.

I still remember the Kansas game, St. Patrick's Day, I'm at Gormans, which was standing room only and there are all these guys who weren't from Peoria calling their friends in Vegas and screaming over the crowd "I'm drinking right across the street from Bradley University! This is awesome!"

I think we won a bunch of new fans that year.
