Curious what fans think of preconference results and how they think the standings will shake out. If Bradley could put the team on the floor that beat SMU we would win hands down. To me the biggest surprise has been Drake and I'm picking them to win, another team that has surprised is Ind. St. the biggest disappointment has been Ill. St. they were picked by every periodical and preseason poll to win it all. Anyhow hears my guess.

Your prediction is likely correct IF our coaches can instill a much faster offense with fast breaks, and quick & crispy passes with good player movement away from the ball. If not, be ready for another disappointment.

I would love to see Bradley in the top 2. They need to be more consistent than they have been. I am not convinced Drake is the best team in the MVC, though they are a lot better than anyone thought they'd be. I agree that Indiana State will be better than picked, too. And ILSU will still be tough, especially at home. They have not proven to be a very good road team.

Based on the non conference and other factors I see it like this (I think :p) :

DRAKE
LOYOLA
SIU
INDIANA STATE
BRADLEY
VALPARAISO
ILLINOIS STATE
MISSOURI STATE
UNI
EVANSVILLE

Indiana St.
Drake
Bradley
SIU
IL St.
Loyola
Mo St.
UNI
Evansville

Bradley is the most talented team in the league, but their lack of desire to win has been their downfall all year. They think that their talent alone can win them ballgames. They don’t crash the boards with reckless abandonment, their sense of urgency has been non-existant, and they need a peer “leader” to step up and hold them accountable when they take possessions off. It happens too often.

With all that being said, I love my Braves and believe that if they apply themselves they will win the Valley! GO BU
