Former Bradley basketball recruit John Wilkins has signed a letter of intent to attend Illinois State, according to recruiting website Rivals.com.

The 6-foot-9, 215-pound Belgian power forward chose the Redbirds over Bradley and Iowa State, among other colleges, according to the site.

Wilkins, who orally committed to Bradley in August 2008, visited the ISU campus three weeks ago.

Wilkins??™ father, Jeff, was a standout center for Illinois State in the 1970s.

John Wilkins has been attending Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa.
 
I heard Bradley got 50 pounds more of a player the same height. I wonder who'd get laid out between the two when someone drives to the basket? ;)
 
Nothing like a little recruiting battle to help increase the intensity of this rivalry....

I look forward to WE, AT, JP and MO doing a number on JW this coming season!

BU Student Section has to think of something creative to "welcome" JW to his first visit to Carver this coming season.......(nothing profane, but clever)

What would really help is if JL or TJ would step up and provide some antagonism, like DV and BD in the day....

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that message copied and pasted on the isu board within minutes of it's very short existence. Probably some isu fan "defending" their guy now. They were basically calling out every other "anonymous" poster over here, but treating the IowaCheerleader as the gospel truth.

Heres whats funny now. That is, for two years here,where there have been numerous warnings in thousands of posts and many threads about tiptoeing what could be said about JW for fear we may say something that would hurt our recruitment of him:roll: Now it is a fact that besides all the blowing of kisses, pleeing, and crying for him to come to BU,( not by me), he has given us the finger and we can almost see him bent over (bare ass) and shooting us the MOON from 35 miles east:oops: Now I am all about being fair! So WHY after two years of playing BU and its good fans along, should there be a gag order and a protection order for him:? BS:!::x It's sad that BU and it's fan's have not heard from him about his decision but instead, his girlfriend comes on here with her plea about being understanding and wanting more love for JW. BS:!: Then has the nerve to call out any fan who isn't in the mood for giving love to him:roll: Thats her place, let her love him:!: That is until he goes down the road to someone else:-o I have more to say but do not want this tread booted:p
 
I am sorry to not jump on board here...but it is the same as a High School senior giving a verbal...unable to sign due to the need for a Junior College and opening up his recruitment after Jr College...

I wonder how many times a Jr College recruit goes to the same school he originally committed to out of high school...

He has been through a bunch of difficult things over the last year or so...

Again I say hope he does well ..till he plays BU :)

Agree 100% OOB. She might be his girlfriend but who knows on a board like this.

So I am on this board like 39 hours a day and I miss the girl post...

I noticed that a person name Julie0001 or something signed up last night and I was gonna be like "The first bradleywomanfan poster?"

anyways....this is lame.....reading that board of theirs annoys me so much....as they all know nothing about him.

Also, This Danny Cooksey dude has lost all my respect. Get off of BUfans :roll:
