Will Egolf

Not worried at all...he is presently on the sharp slope of the learning curve, and will play a bunch next year and the year after.

He's only a freshman.....still plenty of time for development. I think any good play you get from freshman is gravy. We're not getting the types of players, such as an Eric Gordon for example, that should be expected to have huge contributions as Freshmen. What we're getting from Sammy is an exception to the rule.

As long as he's improving, he'll be OK. Now, if there's not a lot of improvement next year and definitely by his Jr. year, then it might be time to raise the caution flag....

Is anyone else worried about Will?

I had hoped that WE would at least be a contributor this season, but I have not lost hope that he will be a major factor in the coming years.

I do worry about kids like Will who are SO far from home in their first year at school. I can't imagine how tough it is being as far away as WE is from his home and family. That along with all the hard work and expectations that go along with being a BU Basketball player.

I was only about an hour from home my freshman year and I couldn't wait for a Sunday or a Holiday to get my clothes washed and some home cookin'.:)

I'm pretty sure he has family here in Peoria as his brother moved here.

Just throwing this out there, but a lot of coaches will say that the greatest improvement for a college player will be between their freshman and sophomore years... fwiw

If his brother moved here than I am not as worried. I heard an interview with him earlier this year where he made mention that he was only a freshman, and expected there to be some up's and down's. I too worry about kids being so far from home (Cameron Rigby immediately comes to mind), but WE has a bright future for the Braves. Hopefully he realizes that.

When you come from Alaska you are most likely going to be far from doing anything. WE will be a fine player. In two years are line-up will be:

Anthony Thompson
Will Egolf
Andrew Warren
Maniscalco
McCain

Total domination!

Will should become a very good player at BU in the future; heck everybody was worried about Austin several weeks ago and look what he is doing;

Beniator can I be vice president of the lets give Austin more minutes club as I think he should be getting at least 20 min with the no"s he is putting up.

Vice President you are!

We will have to see what happens Saturday. We may have to start lobbying for RA to be in the starting lineup PERMANENTLY!:)

The vice president agrees that he should be starting; he plays good defense, sets good screens, rebounds and scores so he should at least get 20 minutes.

Gentlemen-

Are you also proposing the addition of an extra 20 minute period to accomodate all the minutes you want to give out?

I believe Austin has earned the extra minutes and some of the other players do not need to be playing 35 to 37 minutes; they would be more effective if they played 32 minutes in my opinion .

I think it is key to remember that WE is only a freshman. Not many freshman get many minutes. He is learning the system, what is expected of him on offense and defense and I think he will be fine.

I watch the player reactions on the bench from 3's, steals, and dunks and WE is one of the 1st player's to his feet cheering on the team.....this is a good sign in my book.....WE will be a big part of the team next year for sure!

I noticed the same thing last night Mike. WE is the first one to meet the players at a timeout, and is always giving someone a pat on the butt, trying to pick them up. I really like to see that, and I'm not worried about WE I believe he'll be a big contributor in the future.

Another player who is a big cheerleader when not in the game is SS......nobody can beat SS to half court to high five during a time-out!
