Win Over Ohio--Where Next?

If we should win Monday, does anyone know where we would play next? It's going to be on the road, but where? I understand Monday's four winners will be re-seeded. One of my advisors is suggesting we would play the winner of the Virginia-Old Dominion game at their place Wednesday. As I understand it BU and Virginia are the only #1 seeds left, but I don't know how that factors in. No matter who we play and considering it will be away, this is going to be a short turnaround.

Any knowledge on this situation would be much appreciated

The whole situation really sucks. It's not even losing the home court advantage, but losing it to a crappy musical put on by none other than the fascist Disney channel?

Copying from what I said in the other "if we beat Ohio" thread:

Well.... if we win vs Ohio. And looking at all the scenarios played out. And guessing they would re-seed Utah higher than Valpo.

And then assuming we would have to give up the home game and have to play on the road.

I see 1 scenario where we would play at Utah.
I see 2 at Tulsa.
I see 2 at Houston.
and...
I see 3 at Valpo.

Maybe Valpo would draw more fans for a road game than any of the others, if that helps.

Let's just beat Ohio first and take what they give us after that.

Okay MM you just made my day. Here is my bet-we will win on Monday and we will be sent to Houston...just to torture me because I will be on a business trip in Japan-not even able to watch on the internet......arghhh

Well, if it does end up BU comes out to Virginia, that means I'm taking half a day sick leave and driving down to the game! All right!!!

But......WE GOTTA WIN MONDAY'S GAME FIRST!!!!!!!

But we have already determined that Bradley cannot host a 3rd round game because the arena is not available (it's not something that can be worked out with US Cellular arena in Bloomington). It will have to be a road game. And I'd rather play at Valpo than Houston, Utah, Virginia, ODU, or Tulsa. It is the only place within driving distance.

Agreed... Valpo is the best scenario for a road game.

Go Bradley and Go Crusaders in their next game!

I was thinking the same thing, another road trip may be in order, with hopefully less ice and snow this time!

Valpo, Houston, and Utah do not want to host because of the $60,000 fee. Bradley can't host. That leaves the Virginia/ODU winner and either Tulsa or Ohio to host. I think Tulsa and the UVA/ODU winner hosts if both Tulsa and Ohio win. If Tulsa and Ohio both lose, then one of the teams that doesn't want to host has to. That's what happened with Valpo and Houston this round.

"We were very pleased and excited and thought the turnout was great at Tulsa," said Rick Giles, president of the Gazelle Group, which manages the tournament. "Our Gazelle representative was there and said it wasn't just the numbers, but enthusiasm. It had a real postseason atmosphere, which is exactly what we're looking for."

Could high numbers ensure more home games if Tulsa advances in the tournament? After Monday's action, the bracket will be reseeded with the higher seeds getting the opportunity to host.

"We'll be looking to determine who deserves the home games, based on their level of play and the support," Giles said.

If it wasn't for 'Disney on Ice', I would almost guarantee that BU hosts in the semifinals. Instead, Mickey could very well cost us a championship.

I know there would be a lot of complications, but would the CBI consider moving the date so Bradley could host another game? With probably about 9,000ish in attendance tonight and about the same for another round, you would think some arrangements could be made.

The upcoming event at the PCC is more than a 1-day event. So this can't happen.

Recently, several posters said it was rediculous to even imply that there was an ESPN conspiracy against Bradley.
Well, now the conspiracy has gone above ESPN to the head mouse! (Disney owns ESPN)

Sorry guys but the CC can't keep dates open forever and the money that Disney pays out for this weekend will more then likely exceed the complete revenue brought in by the CBI. The real issue is just win tonight then we can worry about the next game because it is one and done or "we live to play another day". This team has won onthe road before this year and can do it again. Then we have next week w/ one or 2 more games at home.
Lets cut down the nets
