Your MVC Player of the Week- Jeremy Crouch

I might be jumping the gun by a day and a half, but IMO Jeremy will be this week's Player of the Week.
Here are his numbers for the 2 games played this week--

At Drake Tuesday, Feb. 19--
23 points, 8-12 from the floor, 6-8 from three,6 assists, 4 rebounds

Tonight, 2/23, against UWM--
24 points, 4-8 from three, 5 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and some pretty good defense played.

I don't think you're jumping the gun DC. JC is a shoe-in. I wouldn't be surprised if he got some national notice for this week's performances. Truly outstanding by the senior co-captain.

Not to mention JC only got 3 minutes of game time rest this week lol. His shot has been money, creating his own shot more and his TO's have been cut down dramatically. Gonna need it big time these next few weeks.

Jason

So what are his chances for making All-Valley first team now? I would think he'd have to be on the short list.

MVC All-Conference Possibilities

MVC All-Conference Possibilities

Statistically ... here's what the All-Conference team should be:

G - Josh Young, Drake
G - Osiris Eldridge, Illinois State
G - Jeremy Crouch, Bradley
F - Randal Falker, Southern Illinois
F - Deven Mitchell, Missouri State

There are other players who deserve consideration of course, including most notably Adam Emmenecker from Drake. He's first in assists/gm and third in steals ... I know it doesn't usually happen, but with how good of a season Drake has had ... could they get two on the first team?

I would put Emmenecker on the first team and leave Mitchell off, as he has really tailed off lately. His scoring average, once above 15 ppg, is now at 12.6 in conference play, and it would be a hard argument to make that he's even the most valuable player on his own team.
Dale Lamberth has come on really strong, is averaging 15.4 ppg in conference play, and in the last month and a half Lambert has been the team's leading scorer or rebounder 13 times and Mitchell only 8 times.

Josh Young?

Josh Young?

I would probably agree with you on Crouch but could see co-players of the week with Josh Young. That was a big win for the Valley over Butler.
