For a while there the rumor seemed to be that he was going to leave the university, and that he wasn't fitting in with the team/coaches. Anyone know if this stuff has changed? Is he staying? Is he buying into the system?

being on campus year round i see jassey all the time. he is always hanging out with LW and Salley and ZA. It seems like he really enojys it here and has made a lot of friends. I would be extremely surprised to see him go anywhere especially since we arent looking to deep in the forward positions.
I saw jassey play a little bit against ray brown last summer at Hausler and I can tell hes almost if not just as athletic as LW. If we can get him to play like LW that could be absolutely huge and a added bonus to the program

For Mac
Do you know something about Jassey that we don't?Is he a screw off? You say "get with the program". Explain? If he lacks b-ball knowledge or skills is that his fault? Who brought him here? He is young and supposedly very athletic so I'd suggest patience. Especially if he's a good kid. If he is a screw off, then someone definately needs to light a fire under his a*s or let him go.

No - no B4Life.
I meant 'get with the PROGRAM' in the sense...
...from what I am hearing he doesn't quite get the TEAM game.
I don't mean to slam him personally. I also don't think he is a type of player that is 'all about me'. I think he might not understand a Team Concept. I am only guessing that when he gets the ball, he goes to the hole and can do many great things. I also think, when defenses collapse on him - he still sees the hoop and not the open man (as well as the 'help defense' that was set taking the charge). I don't really know. I haven't seen him play - I base my opinion from what I have heard and read about him (mostly from this board).
So.. he has had some time to watch, play and learn. And I say: Get with the program. We need you (to play within our program).
That's all.

For starters, there are probably some cultural hurdles that the young man is still learning to overcome.
I believe all this will make him a greater asset to the program.
Remember the guy has essentially been out of competitive basketball for two years and is undoubtedly getting restless.
I'm sure a combination of all these things can be released in a positive manner on the basketball court come October.
