  • A.J. Wilson fails to qualify

http://www.al.com/sports/mobileregis...910.xml&coll=3 (see the bottom of the article)

Some Bradley fans will remember this name. He was an outstanding prep player in the Minneapolis area in the same class as Ray Brown (class of 2005). He got kicked off his high school team his senior year and transferred to Mt. Zion Academy in Durham, NC. He arrived there at Mt. Zion last year as Xavier Crawford was leaving. Wilson reclassified as a Class of 2006. He was a highly regarded prep player, and signed with University of South Alabama. But now USA has announced that AJ has failed to qualify for admission and will not play for USA this year. Tough luck for this kid who has a lot of talent. I suspect he will end up at a junior college.
I recall that the mother of Patrick O'Bryant suggested to Jim Les that Bradley should recruit this kid out of high school in Minneapolis. She thought he was a top notch talent.

    Wow - hmmm.

    South Alabama.

    That's where Pelphry is.

I was big on Pelphry as a candidate for the BU job when Les was hired.

He's a solid recruiter and a decent coach. I think he will land a higher Mid-Major job (before a BCS job) or a low BCS job soon.
