First coach of 2009-2010 fired- Jim Crews out at Army

Why would Knight want to go to a place that just canned one of his former assistants? (even if it is his alma mater) Unless Crews and Knight have had a falling out, I don't think Knight is the kind of guy to give a school a second chance if they can one of his guys, especially a couple week prior to the season starting.

seriously, a cadet gets yelled at!!! And I thought all that yelling that Sargeant Carter doled out on the Gomer Pyle Show was just in fun....

Not to nitpick, but The General graduated from Ohio State. His first head coaching job was at West Point.

Thought not...but that's the name of the 19-year old IU student that Bobby Knight
"yelled obscenities at"
which was the violation of the zero-tolerance policy and resulted in Knight getting canned at IU.

There is some speculation this opens the door for Bobby Knight to return to West Point as either coach or AD.

several candidates have been interviewed and/or brought on campus in preparation for selection of a new head coach....and....

BOB KNIGHT is not one of them....

here are the names being reported...and not many will be familiar to the average college basketball fan...
Fred Quartlebaum, David Cason, Kyle Smith, Walt Corbean, Dedrique Taylor, and Zach Spiker.

reportedly Cason and Corbean have already been cut from the list...

Spiker got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at Winthrop under Gregg Marshall.
