  • 4 Indiana Pacers involved in shooting

4 of the Indiana Pacers were questioned by police after shots were fired outside a strip club.

Stephen Jackson fired five shots from a 9-mm handgun after someone hit him in the face and tried to run him over with a vehicle outside Club Rio at about 3 a.m., IPD spokesman Sgt. Matthew Mount said.
Jackson, Jamaal Tinsley, Marquis Daniels and Jimmie Hunter argued with another group of men just outside the club at 5054 W.38th St., Mount said.

Glad to see Danny Granger wasn't one of them.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

Jackson has become the new Ron Artest, always getting in big trouble, and causing a
public relations nightmare. Look for the Pacers to dump him.

In a bizarre twist to this case, the police have released the 911 tapes,
and have identified one of the suspects that supposedly tried to run down Pacer Stephen Jackson, as having this description:

"We think that the easiest one to spot would be a black male that goes by the nickname of Fingers. He has shortened handicapped arms and a thumb and two fingers on each hand."

This is beginning to sound like the lead in from the movie "The Fugitive"!

Sunday afternoon, the Pacers held an open scrimmage at Conseco, and 10,000 people watched.
Jackson was absent, but Danny Granger was there and was quoted in this Indy Star article:
""It was very important that we got applauded," said Granger. "We want the fans to stick with us, and don't want one incident to make the season go bad. I want to thank everyone for sticking with us."

Now some of the facts are coming out about the strip club shooting, and based on the facts, the prosecutor has filed
charges of felony and misdemeanor counts of battery and disorderly conduct against Pacers Stephen Jackson

Now we know the truth, as Stephen Jackson testified he only brought his gun and shot it
because he was valiantly trying to help break up a fistfight at an Indianapolis strip club
          that he was at.

I get a kick out of the language, and you have to read the story to get what I mean.
Where I come from "dump" means a totally different thing that where Stephen Jackson comes from.
