Report: Bulls hire Thibodeau

I like it. Good coach with a ton of experience. I have a feeling he pretty much runs the show in Boston.

He is a defensive minded coach. Good luck with getting the current aray of Bulls to buy into that mind set.

He is very well respected and with a very good long resume... just wondering though if he was the choice more to keep head coaching costs down?

He did a great job here in Houston with JVG and his Rockets teams and has done well since his arrival in Boston. After the Vinny etc experiments since Jackson going with a first time head coach is that a smart move in Chicago?

I doubt Bulls cared about keeping head coaching costs down if they're looking to drop a max contract (or two) on super star free agents.

This actually looks like a great hire. The Bulls took the initiative, and when Lebron James comes a callin', the Bulls and the new coach will have a vision on how they want to win already.

There's no way it could be a worse hire than Vinny. He had less experience than Jim Les had when he was hired at BU, and I thought that was impossible.

He might have had experience, but Tim Floyd was a worse hire to be an NBA head coach then VD.

I can't argue that. At least VDN had experience in the NBA game. Floyd had zero.

Floyd's assistant from Iowa St, who came with him to the Bulls, just happens to be Gar Forman. How does that make you feel? Doesn't get me all warm and fuzzy...
