Week #6 of the Amazing Race saw Marcus and Amani finished last in this weeks race in Africa but were not eliminated because this weeks race was a no elimination race. They live on for another week. Way to go Marcus and Amani!

Marcus and Amani competed well in the challlenges but lost time during this leg of the race and ended up finishing just minutes behind for last place because of a combination of bad luck events. They had a bad seat on an airplane, then a cab driver who got delayed in a wedding procession, then later broke down and had to be abandoned on the side of the road.
Amani and Marcus spent this week proving how easy it is to go from first to last on "The Amazing Race." A bad seat on an airplane, a traffic jam and car trouble can cripple a team. Luckily, the married NFL couple had their bad luck on a non-elimination leg.

Marcus and Amani are still alive on The Amazing Race. Tonight's episode took place entirely in the African country of Malawi. The Pollards started tonight's leg of the race in last place, and were required to perform an extra task which caused them to fall farther behind all the other teams. But they made up time on the subsequent tasks and finished 4th out of the 7 teams remaining. Next week's episode takes the race to Denmark with 6 teams still in the race for $1 million.

Week #7 of the Amazing Race saw Marcus and Amani start in last place in the leg in Malawi in Africa. They had to do a road block in which they had to solve a puzzle to make a Malawi flag. Once they completed Marcus then had to transport a passenger on a bike taxi to 1 of 3 destinations. They finished that leg in 6th. Their next leg was to choose to do a boat race or the one they ended up choosing, transport people and cargo from a boat in the water to the shore. Everyone else chose to do the boat race which enabled Marcus and Amani to move up to 4th. After having to go find a place called the Jamaica shop in which they had a chance to u-turn someone during this leg but they chose not too. Marcus and Amani made it to the final leg in this week's race in 4th. Only 6 teams remain. Go Marcus and Amani!

On week #8, Marcus and Amani fell way behind when they were the only team out of the remaining 6 that got stuck on a later flight from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. But then problems occurred with a couple other teams getting lost, allowing the Pollards to make up time and pass them. They finished this leg of the Amazing Race in 4th place out of the remaining 6 teams.

The last place team was eliminated leaving Marcus and Amanai among the final 5 teams competing for the 1 million dollar prize. Go Marcus and Amani!

For anyone who didn't see last night's episode of the Amazing Race- It started in Copenhagen with a couple tasks, then moved to Hamburg, Germany, then to Brussels, Belgium where this leg of the race ended. Marcus and Amani Pollard again finished first and were awarded a free trip to Panama. Instead of eliminating one team, the race continued immediately after the Pollards checked in.
                Here is a summary-

Marcus and Amani finished 4th in Sunday night's episode of The Amazing Race. Because they won last week's episode, the started in first place, but the Pollard's directional skills were a little weak, and twice during this episode they got lost trying to find their destinations. But they made up time during the various tasks and avoided elimination.
Here is a summary of last night's episode
The Amazing Race's nineteenth season eliminated Bill Alden and Cathi Alden during Sunday night's broadcast of the CBS reality competition.

Marcus and Amani were in 4th place going into a detour. They were the only group that decided to head to a fish market instead of making shoes which moved them into second place. They got a little off track after that and but still managed to finish in third place. Marcus and Amani will be one of the three teams going for the one million dollars!

They were very fortunate to not be elimanated as the snow boarding twosome went to the wrong spot on the last leg of this race. Marcus and Amani and the other two couples were in the same spot looking for the last clue and the dating couple figured it out. Marcus, Amani and the engaged couple followed them. The cab driver that was taking the dating couple told the cabbies who had Marcus, Amani and the engaged couple where he was going and they all made it to the finish line. The snowboarders figured it out too late. I thought they had been the best twosome so far and were the favorites going to the finals so now it's anybodys race to win. Go get that Million dollars Marcus and Amani.

The finale of this season's The Amazing race was last night. Marcus and Amani Pollard finished in 3rd place overall. They had made it to the finale by finishing among the final 3 teams, but they get delayed with a task involving a flight simulator, and that was enough for them to fall behind the other 2 teams. Tough luck for the Pollards, but they competed very well.

It took Marcus 12 attempts to land a lear jet in the simulator before he was able to do it successfully. The other teams did it on either the 1st or 2nd attempt.

Tough luck for Marcus and his wife, but they competed well and seemed to enjoy the experience.
