Is a record of 28-66 worth a 10-year/$24 million contract extension?
They think that just this years class alone suddenly going to vault them to the top of the Big 10 eventually. Haven't they had some pretty decent classes that last 4 years?
BTW - Indiana also had the #1 recruiting class in the NATION in 2007 (Eric Gordon, Jamarcus Ellis, Eli Holman, Jordan Crawford, Brandon McGee, DeAndre Thomas - all 4-Star & 5-Star) - and we all know how that turned out...
And they also had the #1 recruiting class in the nation in 2004 with 5-STAR DJ White, Marco Killingsworth, and four other 4-Star & 5-Star players...and their failure to do anything got Mike Davis fired..
"..guard Maurice Creek underwent surgery today to repair a torn Achilles tendon
he suffered away from the basketball court in his left leg. His status for the
upcoming season has not been determined.
It is the third serious injury he has suffered in the past 22 months. Creek had
surgery to repair a broken left patella in late December of 2009 and last year he
was shut down after a stress fracture in his right patella ended his season in January."

Tuesday night's big-ish news -- that Indiana had self-reported a violation for making contact with touted recruit Gary Harris at his high school one day after the end of the permitted contact period -- drew a wide array of reactions.
MORE revelations - the Indianapolis Star has uncovered that Indiana has had 18 other NCAA rules violations since 2010....
not good considering they're on probation for all the rules they ran roughshod over with Kelvin Sampson...
