Lafayette finishes their Euro tour 3-1 but in the final game against a U20 team from Brussels, the Lafayette coach used his starters for the full 40 minutes each - playing the entire way with no subs...
They said three players had injuries, and they took this trip with only 8 players.........but before the games they had ..
"A gentleman's agreement among the coaches and referees before the game
meant that players on both teams would not be disqualified after a fifth foul."

In the preceding game the players were so worn out with the short roster...that....they ended the game early as a spontaneous "mercy rule"...
"In a move of sportsmanship by Melsele Basics, Saturday's game was called
with three minutes to play as the Leopards' injuries mounted and the outcome was not in doubt.
      "

Columbia finishes a 12-day tour to Spain & Italy going 5-0
...most of the games were big, nearly 40-pt or 40-pt+ blowouts of local club teams,
but they did have one close one - an 86-83 win over an Andorran national team.

I think Bradley went on a foreign tour to Italy before their 32-3 season. Hope Jim has the same success.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Indiana State basketball team will play three exhibition contests in the Bahamas during a preseason international trip from August 11-15 at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.

The 10 days of extra practice are probably far more beneficial than the actual trip? No seniors on the roster although Odum, Mahurin & Eitel redshirted their frosh year and are 4th year juniors. Eight new players on the roster.

Kansas is on their way to Europe to play in Switzerland & France but they missed one of their flight connections and are stuck

did you get the part where Kansas took 3 different planes in order to fly their entire team, their entourage, and all their big-wig donors there,
and two of the planes made it OK but the one with the team members was diverted & stuck in Pittsburgh for a full day

.....sort of a coincidence -- Kansas, Pittsburgh, and grounded....funny they didn't frek out and blame someone here on this message board....

Utah loses their second game in Brazil 80-77 after an earlier win 89-77

most of the other D-I teams that are on their tours have won so far...

wonder if the rule about taking these trips only once every four years will be amended and Kentucky will be able to ask for a waiver to do it every year since that's the average length any of their poor kids stay in school and they never get to go...awwww...
