This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen our legislators worrying about in a long time and that's saying something. Don't worry about improving the education quality, cost of attendance, balancing the universities budgets, but let's worry about their athletic conference so 'more people will want to attend'...

in an ideal world where there's an endless amount of money & resources then everyone would have a 4-year school wihtin walking distance and they'd all have BCS-caliber football & basketball - plus food and housing would be free to everyone...

wait -- this is what they actually do believe in Washington !!
