  • Swopshire and Zecevic transfering

    Per bradley scout

  • #2
I know neither were gamebreakers but I wanted them both back. Thought they had both shown potential. Also I think it sends a bad message to potential recruits when underclass men transfer out every stinking year. I wish them well.

Hopefully someday soon we will have a group of student-athletes to root for from start of their career to finish. A group to grow with through their successes and failures. Hopefully more successes

Hope we don't come to regret this the way I have lamented the losses of Crawford and Shayok.

Losing 1 or 2 guys is pretty much the norm anymore. The NCAA has made it even easier to transfer with it's odd rulings. I would be disappointed by Swopshire not so much the other.

Good luck to Stefan and Jordan wherever they land. I feel bad for them that they couldn't have contributed more or stayed and developed into better players.
I am hearing that the purge may not be over yet.
So much for Dave Reynolds' "Stellar recruiting class" that he compared favorably with some of the very best recruiting classes of the last few decades!

gotcha - but more like janked with a little "J" compared to JANKED in all caps

I am kind of surprised at Swopshire. I thought I read he was counting on staying

I have heard that he wanted to stay and was expecting to be told he would stay. So this has to be a real letdown for Swop. I think he will have success somewhere.

who knows - but no denying college basketball is big business and the need to win drives everything

                        Dave Reynolds' article-

Swopshire will look to transfer to another 4-year school, while Zezevic will probably transfer to a junior college.

I don't know if it's applicable in Swophire's situation but I've had employees who wanted to stay but didn't want to do what I needed or asked. So it was time to part ways

                            Swopshire & Zecevic Transferring

NOTHING IS FOREVER ! This is the new face of college basketball.....My primary concern now is that the coaches had better be 100% correct in their evaluations of talent when recruiting.....No "In betweeners", No projects, and no more J.C. guys who average 12 pts./game. COACHES CAN ALSO BE "JANKED".

or at least be cautious with DI transfers who average 2-3 ppg or juco players who average single digits, or well-travelled, multi-transfer kids who didn't even play last year, or kids who didn't even start for their own high school team....
