More exhibition game scores from last night

The first MVC exhibition
Northern Iowa beat former BU exhibition opponent, Upper Iowa 83-66
It really wasn't anywhere near that close - as UNI started the game on a 17-2 run and cruised easily much of the entire game... leading by double digits nearly the rest of the way.
UNI had four players (Mitchell, Singleton, Jesperson, Lohaus) in double figures.
Seth Tuttle had 6 pts & 5 rebs
The bench scored 42 of their 83 points.
Attendance was almost 4,000

Recall when Bradley played Upper Iowa each of the past two seasons in exhibitions, the games were very close - Will Egolf carrying us to a win with a good 2nd half in 2012 & Walt Lemon scoring a buzzer beater with 0.2 seconds left in 2013 to narrowly edge UIU by 2 pts.

UCLA beat Azusa Pacific 80-53
Pitt beat Indiana University of Pennsylvania 72-58 - IUP's Daddy Ugbede (formerly of Drake), scored 2 pts and picked up 5 fouls in just 13 minutes of play.

Found this comment from the Cleveland State head coach about ex-ISU Redbird Kaza Keane - they play Xavier Saturday in a closed scrimmage
"Biggest surprise:
...Kaza Keane, a transfer from Illinois State
"He is really handling the ball and shooting the ball," said Waters.

Wisconsin Badgers beat UW-Parkside last night in their first exhibition, but....
guess who was one of the best players on the court....

Jimmy Gavin - 15 pts, the 2nd highest scoring total of any player on either squad!



Manual's Lawrence Alexander had 18 pts/4 assists in North Dakota State's exhibition win -
NDSU Freshman Paul Miller had an incredible debut - off the bench as a sub he went 7-9 and scored 19 points!
Another incredible shooter that virtually everyone passed on thinking he was not D-I material.



One more interesting exhibition result...
Jackson State ran into a buzz saw against an NAIA opponent TOUGALOO COLLEGE (Mississippi) - and got absolutely clobbered 88-67!
One of the Tougaloo kids, Andravious Smith went off for 18 pts/13 rebs and a couple ea assists/blocks/steals - after just coming off a prior game of 20 pts/10 rebs!
Interesting, this Andavious Smith kid is a 6-5 kid who played center in high school for a modestly small school - and didn't get recruited at all because nobody wanted a 6-5 center...but he's morphed himself into a fine wing player at the DII level - wonder if his phone might start ringing...

SIUE clobbered Greenville - Donivine Stewart had 8 pts, 3 rebs, 4 asst, 6 steals, in just 23 minutes

Alex Peters led all scorers with 17 in Valpo's exhibition win

Wichita beats Northwood 112-55 - starters barely played 12-15 minutes, and the Shockers hit 13-24 from the arc...while holding their opponents to 1-18...
I think we're going to be in trouble when we play them..

Utah State (Sean Harris 6 rebs),..

Sean Harris, whoi led Utah State in rebounding that game, had just gotten full NCAA clearance minutes before this exhibition game - as he was cleared for his 6th season of eligibility.
Recall however - that he first entered Yuba (juco) in fall of 2007, thus this is his EIGHTH YEAR that his "clock has been ticking from the NCAA standpoint....sao they needed to see all the documents, but....

BUT - the NCAA was satisfied that his clock was "suspended" while he was on his Mormon mission, thus they cleared him..
