Since Bradley hosted Southern Illinois 18 days ago, both Missouri Valley Conference teams have faced a Murderers Row in MVC play.

Really? Since they last met, Bradley has played Wichita State away, Evansville and UNI at home, then ISU away. SIU has played UNI away, Indiana State at home, Wichita State away, and Loyola at home (which they won).

Since when does anyone who wants to be taken seriously call mediocre teams like Evansville, Illinois State, Indiana State, and Loyola "murderer's row"?
Maybe I'll grant that WSU and UNI are legitimate top caliber teams that are tough to beat, but Loyola? Indiana State? Evansville? ISU?
Wow, talk about putting lipstick on a pig- those are middle-of-the-pack MVC teams that Bradley should be able to compete with and beat in the 4th year of this regime, especially at home!
Going into this 7th round of MVC games 3 of those 4 teams (Evansville, Loyola, and ISU) all had .500 records in the league, and the 4th team, Indiana State, is just 9-9 overall with an RPI of 195! Murderer's row? Only Loyola has an RPI of better than 90, and even that is a sham. By the season's end, likely none of those "murder's row" will be in the top 100 RPI.

Is Dave admitting that we have no chance to even expect to compete with the mediocre, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place teams in the league that hover around a .500 record?
If we are going to consider those kinds of mediocre opponents a "murderer's row", then just how far has the Bradley program fallen?
And if those kinds of records equate to a "murderer's row", then why did we fire the last coach who was able to equal or exceed those team's level of success nearly every year?
    What a joke!
I have become very disappointed in both Dave and Kirk. How can 2 supposed, talented sports reporters be so ill informed regarding the status of Bradley basketball. They both seem more interested in showing their photos in their articles than reporting an accurate account of Bradley basketball. Kirk, in particular comes across, in my opinion as very arrogant and know-it-all. Who will be the first reporter to open their eyes and start reporting accurately?

down 12-8 - our three "go to guys" (Grier, Barnes, Jones) that have been our best scorers
are a combined 0-3 & scoreless - we're lucky we are only down 4 as they have missed 5 of 6 FT so far

did you see the tweet by DR saying Nate Wells is gonna be shooting 3's?

Just been watching since the 12:00 mark. Any reason why Sutherland is not playing? Would like to see them run and execute pick and roll with Sutherland and Cunningham. Would like to see the a screen to free up Cunningham back door also anytime they overplay.

Sutherland got 2 early fouls, and Geno decided to take him out and sit him.

Bradley is shooting well after a cold start, and they trail at SIU 34-33 at halftime. Bradley is playing poor defense allowing SIU to make 6-12 from three

kind of a drag watching these games and knowing what the outcome is going to be. Jones is looking good, but it is same old story with the rest. No effort on D and no movement on the other end, Hope I'm wrong. Go BU!

Jones hurts on the defensive end - it's partly why everyone hits 3's against us
..in conference play we shoot 29% and give up 37%

                    down eleven...
Dave Snell & Chad repeatedly saying they think the BU players don't look like they even know what offense they are running - and if nobody's playing defense - what's left?? Will we even win another game this season??

looks like I am not alone...Dave Snell just predicted we'd finish 10th and be the 10-seed in the tourney
we might make our 55.8 point per game conference average

final 70-59...but it wasn't even that close...
I felt the whole 2nd half like we were out of it - as if we were down more than 20 and no hope that our offense or our defense would rally
I don't see anything good to say about this performance against a last place team - but I suspect we'll get a bunch of lipstick put on this in the newspaper..

Another embarrassingly bad performance by Bradley. SIU is not very athletic, and they were not doing anything complicated, yet for some reason, Bradley could never figure out how to guard them!
They had averaged 50.5 points per game in their first 6 MVC games, but against a Bradley team that did not play any defense tonight, SIU shot 46% overall, 47% from three, and scored 70 points.

The offense also looked confused and chaotic and was sloppy with 14 turnovers despite absolutely minimal defensive pressure by SIU. Sutherland had just 1 assist.

Final score- SIU 70 BU 59

Bradley now is 6-14, and 1-6 in the MVC- absolutely inexcusable

I'm going to focus on the positive(s). Josh Cunningham should become a really nice player in the Valley assuming that he sticks around. He needs some help on the glass and needs Geno to create offensive schemes to give him scoring opportunities. I don't blame Sutherland for lack of assists. This offense is puzzling. No flow. Choppy. Guys dribbling and going nowhere. Sutherland is the only one who has ball handling skills and can beat his man 1 on 1. I think it's a matter of 4 other guys on the floor who don't have basketball sense and cannot move without the ball and a coach who scored a lot of points during his HS career but unfortunately is not very good at coaching and teaching.

My prediction: Cunningham will be gone.
