This team has packed it in for the season. You can see it in their eyes and attitude. Tonight was a classic example of Ford being out coached. Drake has nowhere near the talent Bradley does. But they do have team cohesiveness, discipline and accountability. That will win over talent every time. Geno had no answer for anything Drake did. Geno said he didn't have effort from his players tonight. That is flat out, his responsibility. He is over half way into the season and still searching for answers. He is no basketball coach. The boo birds appeared for the first time tonight and even some of the students in the student section were chanting "Fire Ford". I feel sorry for the players. They are being cheated by this coaching staff.

I hope the Board of Trustees are happy about the mess they have created. I have no reason to believe they will do any better when they replace Glasser, Cross or Ford. The Board of Trustees are as incompetent as our president, athletic director and head coach. There is no denying it. From academics to public relations to athletics, the Board of Trustees has allowed Bradley University to turn everything into puke.

Everybody wants to criticize the Journal Star. When is the Board of Trustees going to grow a "set" and make a public comment about the entire situation at Bradley? Everything from employee moral, to academics, financial blunders and a second rate athletic program. I would like to hear how they plan to turn it around. The problem is...they created this albatross and have no plan or the ability to turn it around, with the current Board of Trustees.

Vent, that is an insult to all the other second rate athletic programs everywhere.

I heard Austin Barnes shout an obscenity at a fan. Several other people heard it also. That shows the lack of class and control this basketball team has. That is a direct reflection on the coach.

I have never booed my own team and I personally think it's classless...

I don't like losing and I always root for our guys to win...

            But remember this....

Blame Geno for a lot of things, but not for a player's lack of class. Fans yelling at players don't have much class either.

I feel sorry for the maintenance people that work at the civic center. Somehow, they have to clean that mess up that Bradley made tonight. And then they need to get rid of that awful smell the Braves created tonight. I hope those folks have hazmat suits. They're gonna need them.

There were people leaving early, but that has happened before, but there was a lot of booing, and rude fans yelling insults at specific players on the Bradley bench. I have never heard Bradley fans doing that before, and I do not believe it is ever justified.
I agree. I do remember some booing at the Creighton game during Molinari's last year, but never the cat-calls and insults being directed at a coach or player. I didn't like it either.

Kirk was there, and now that Joanne is leaving and he isn't as likely to get a teaching job in the Sports Journalism school, he will likely be more open and honest. I expect Kirk to write a scathing column for tomorrow, but somehow he will still go easy on the coaching.

Dave will do his usual lipstick on a pig routine, and write about how great Drake played.

Here is the story from BUBraves.com
PEORIA, Ill. - Drake made eight of its first 10 field goal attempts and rode a hot-shooting first half to a 69-57 win at Bradley (7-15, 2-7 MVC) Wednesday night at Carver Arena.

Can Geno please share his list of team rules? Does it look something like this:

                        1. Practice makes perfect, but who cares? Nobody's perfect.
                        2. There is much to be said for failure. It is much more interesting than success.
                        3. Defense is optional.
                        4. Everyone has the green light. Always.
                        5. Once the toothpaste is out of the tube, it's hard to get it back in.
                        6. Respect the Gargoyle.
                        7. The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.

Mike Cross was not taking notes, he was thinking of new gimmicks the Gargoyle can do during games
Geno might have to actually require the players show up on time for practice if we expect to see a disciplined team...
Anyone else ever been to a practice an notice little or no discipline?
3-4th grade biddy ball had more structure to their practices...

I did not hear anybody yelling profanities or insults at players. I did hear people making negative comments about Ford, although most of those were coming from the upper bowl. I also do not like to hear coaches, players or referees being booed.

Players no... Coaches .. Fair game. Here's the deal.... I understand Geno is a likable guy... He's funny, has charisma. But comedy with no W's , gets you booed, and it gets you canned.

I have heard from multiple people that players are late for practice quite often. You can see there is not much discipline with this team. Most players this age, still want discipline. It's called accountability. I often times get to games shortly after the doors open. Many times you see the BU players all dressed differently, some taking shots from half court, some wearing headphones, some talking to people in the crowd. Meanwhile the other team is dressed alike, not wearing headphones, not taking shots from half court, but actually taking shots they take in games. Maybe this is nitpicking but I call it discipline.
