NBA Summer League games began last night...

Just a couple tidbits...

On Saturday
The Miami Heat 92 - Indiana Pacers 76
Seth Tuttle played 4:38 for the Heat and was 0-1, scoreless, & 2 rebs
Matt Stainbrook plays for the Pacers but was held out.

Orlando beat the Clippers 75-74
Illini's Nnanna Egwu started for Orlando, played 31:45, was 1-3, 3 pts, 3 rebs

Thunder beat Hornets 76-74
The Hornets' Frank Kaminsky began the quest to silence doubters, as he went 7-19, 19 pts, 12 rebs

Memphis 81 - Nets 73
Wisconsin's Josh Gasser was scoreless for Nets, former BU recruit DeShawn Delaney was held out for Nets.


Sunday games
Pistons 77 - Clippers 69
Nate Wolters led all scorers with 18 pts

Memphis 79 - Hornets 75
Frank Kaminsky had another nice game for Hornets - 6-8, 14 pts, 8 rebs, 2 blocks

Heat & Nets nearing halftime
Seth Tuttle looks as tho he has not played yet

Heat edged the Nets in summer league play 71-70
kinda bad shooting & lots of turnovers on both sides, especially the Heat who were 1-18 from the arc..

Summer League last night

Jahlil Okafor went for 18 pts/10 rebs - impressing everyone
Corey Hawkins was on the Sixers' roster but was apparently not available

he played 26 min, went 5-6 and scored 11 pts, and had 3 rebs, 4 asst

Frank Kaminsky another solid game 11 pts/6 reb

again Corey Hawkins was listed on the roster of Sixers but DNP -

however, I think he's still working out in Vegas for the summer league there

He had the opportunity to play on the Sixers summer team this week but gave that chance up in order to concentrate on working with the Sacramento Kings' and their mini-camp with the goal of playing well enough with the Kings' summer team & making their roster
