Try looking up the station that does the EIU broadcast and see if they stream the audio on their website or on Tune In radio or radio.net

Finally got WMBD :-) Sounds like a sloppy and poorly called game.

Obviously turnovers has to be better Sunday.
            DLO was great.
I think we can count on Child??™s. Hes going to average a double double. He??™s going to Win Freshman of the Year.

              Sometime around never-ago.
These games are getting more and more fun to be at. We need to welcome back to carver all the disgruntled masses. These guys are putting out!
              Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

The last time Bradley was 7-1 was the 2004-05 season. But they ended up with a 13-15 record that season.

It was another highly entertaining game. There were too many turnovers (21), but the excessive number of moving screen calls contributed to that number. But still too many were careless passes. Eastern Illinois played pretty well, though their shooting percentage of 32.8% and the 39-30 rebounding edge for Bradley were what allowed BU to overcome all the turnovers and maintain a double digit lead much of the second half.

DLO played great on defense, and lead the team with 10 rebounds, and he had 13 points. He was officially named the Player of the Game. But it could have gone to Elijah Childs since he had a great game, too- team-high 14 points, and 9 rebounds.
Overall, Bradley shot 52.2% (24-46) and 37.5% (6-16) from three. They also shot free throws better- 81.3% (13-16)

Attendance was the highest this season- 5,275 - and there were a lot fewer no-shows than in the last few games.

                Box score-

Off to San Diego tomorrow morning. Go Braves!

Final score 67-56, here's the box score

                  Childs 14 pts, 9 rebs
                  DLO 13 pts, 10 rebs
                  Hodgson 12 pts

but 21 TO and several plays that were essentially turnovers like fumbling the rebounds out of bounds that don't go into the books as turnovers

                  we haven't started a season 7-1 since 2004

The College of Southern Idaho scored 107 points ...in just the 2nd half to

Speaking of high scoring teams, there are a couple right here in central Illinois.
Here are the highest scoring teams in NCAA Division III-
Discover the current NCAA Division III Men's Basketball leaders in every stats category, as well as historic leaders.

Grinnell leads with an average of 140 points per game. Greenville University, located 140 south of Peoria, is 3rd with an average of 119.5 ppg. And Eureka College is 6th with an average of 104.5 ppg.

Grinnell averages over 93 shots per game, and makes 48% of them, and 37% of their threes. They also yield 77 shots per game by their opponents for a total average of 170 shots per 40 minutes. For comparison, in last night's Bradley-EIU game there were 104 shot attempts. Grinnell also averages over 52 three point shots per game.

In Division I, Florida is the highest scoring offense with an average of 99.5 ppg, which will surely drop as they get into their conference games.

We are just starting to see how good Elijah Childs can be, but maybe it is no surprise...
..he was good in high school and underappreciated possibly due to having two other DI recruits on his team..
..and he scored double digits the first time he ever stepped foot on the floor in an exhibition game, then against Vermont - the best team we have played so far - Elijah put up 12 pts & 11 rebounds in just 15 minutes of play...

If the kid gets 25-30 minutes, he could be putting up 15/15 or better every nite -
I think he's got a very good shot at Freshman of the Year in the Valley if he can stay healthy.

Childs will defintiely be on the All Freshman team barring injury. But because UNI has played a couple marquee national TV games, and because Tywhon Pickford has put up good numbers (he is currently averaging 10.1 ppg and leading the MVC in rebounding at 11.1 rpg), he has all the hype behind him right now and has the advantage for FOY. He'd have to really fade and drop off a lot for someone else to move ahead of him in voters' minds. But I am pretty satisfied with Childs. I think he could have the better upside.

Childs is among the conference leaders in rebounds, blocked shots & FG percentage - the only freshman to be among the leaders in more than one stat category
