Class of 2020 post Seryee Lewis is a 6’7” power forward from Kenwood who is an uber athletic post player. He is a run/jump athlete that is extremely fluid running the floor. Super bouncy four man that can finish above the rim with explosive dunks. Makes quick moves on the interior for scores. Isn’t an […]

He eventually committed to Iowa State where he played in 29 games as a freshman and started the last 2 games. He averaged 13.7 mpg, 2.1 ppg and 1.7 rpg. He has decided to leave Iowa State and entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
I mention this because he is the type of player that Coach Wardle has said they are looking for with the final 2 available scholarships. He is a big guard who was a good shooter in high school. I know the Bradley coaches liked this kid a year ago, but he'd have to sit out a year if he transfers, so I don't know if he is someone our coaches would pursue now.
“We want two guys who can shoot, fit our culture and are tough, competitive guys,” Wardle said. “We’ll need a guard — either a point guard or a combo along with a wing guard or forward who can really shoot the ball. We’ll always take the best fit whether it’s a transfer or a freshman.”

If this kid wants an opportunity to play, win, and be in the NCAA tournament, then BU would be as good a choice as any in the nation. There are advantages to playing for a mid-major, and BW is building a solid program that should start becoming an attractive landing spot for these kids.
Every recruiting class has gotten better than the previous, so I have no reason to believe we don't have a shot at any player we pursue at this point. Wardle and his team must certainly know what they're doing and how to sell their program.
Granted, we can't compete with the pay the power conference dish out.

This article points that out, plus quotes Head Coach Bruce Weber saying that they are still recruiting despite being over the scholarship limit, but their primary target is a big man-
Weber is still looking to land more prospects during the 2020 recruiting cycle.
“We will probably try to get another big,” Weber said, “and then we will decide about a wing.”
That plan comes as a minor surprise given that K-State is currently projected to be one over the scholarship limit next season...
And there are reports that Texas offered Donovan Williams, but they have only 1 scholarship available for 2020, and a couple Texas recruiting sites say their primary targets for 2020 are a point guard and a big man (they are not a great rebounding team).
Ironically, one of their top 2019 recruits, now a freshman, was a shooting guard named Donovan Williams. A different Donovan Williams, but a very similar type of player-
Donovan Williams (10) G - Returns for his second season in the backcourt rotation … played in 26 games (1 start) as a freshman … suffered a left knee injury at
But there are other majors who have recently expressed interest, so it will take a pretty strong sales pitch from Bradley.

He committed to Nebraska in August, 2018, and then suffered a serious knee injury in April, 2019. He remained committed to Nebraska, but did not sign his Letter of Intent last month when he had a chance during the early signing period.
Today, he announced that that he is withdrawing his commitment to Nebraska, and is reopening his recruitment. -

He would make a terrific addition to Bradley's 2020 recruiting class.Originally posted by Da Coach View PostAlso, Donovan Williams has been practicing with his HS team as he continues to recover from his ACL repair last April. He has not played yet.
After missing the last 8 months with an ACL injury and surgery, Bradley recruit Donovan Williams of North Star HS in Lincoln, Nebraska, finally returned to playing last week. He started by putting up 31 points in his first game back.

............Bradley was perhaps his best offer other than Nebraska, so might Bradley get back in the picture?-
Donovan Williams is reported to be recovering nicely from his knee injury and surgery, and he is projected to return to the court after January 1.
He is the type of player Bradley needs....just saying.
