I just got some further information about Stephan Gabriel's transfer. As we noted, he is now at a top notch basketball prep school in Santa Fe Springs, California, Veritas Basketball Academy-
After a great 21 point performance last night that helped lead his new prep team Veritas to a win, Stephan Gabriel scored a team-leading 17 points, and had 4 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal and a block to lead Veritas to another win, 66-63 over another strong prep team Elite Prep-
Their schedule has them playing frequently
and even 2 games a day occasionally
some update schedules for Stephan's team...
Friday Nov. 16- 7:30pm vs. Prolific Prep
Saturday Nov. 17- 1pm vs. Arizona Compass Prep *
then later...
December 26-29, 2018 The Governor's Challenge in Maryland
12/26- 9pm vs. Central Pointe
12/28- 5pm vs. Spire Institute (ranked #10 nationally)
12/29- 6:45pm vs. Virginia Academy *
As noted, Stephan Gabriel's new team, Veritas Prep, is playing in an event this weekend. They play one game tonight (Fri. Nov. 16), and another game tomorrow (Sat. Nov. 17) at 3 PM Central. We hope to be able to have some scoring numbers for Stephan. So far, in the 2 games he has played with the new team, he has been either the leading scorer or tied for the scoring lead.
He is averaging 19 ppg at Veritas against teams with a lot of D1 caliber players. That is about what he was averaging at Hillcrest Prep against the top prep teams in the country.
