  • One-time Bradley Brave Chudier Bile transferring again

One-time Bradley Brave is transferring again.
Bradley signed Chudier Bile in their 2018 recruiting class-

He was a junior college recruit from Otero CC near Denver, where he was a key player on a very good juco team. He averaged 12.4 ppg and 5.9 rpg his sophomore season at Otero CC. He committed on April 17, 2018, and joined the Bradley team for the summer. But on July 9, 2018, after the first summer session, he decided to leave Bradley and transfer elsewhere-

The reasons were reported to be -
"A source close to the men’s basketball program said Bile’s decision to leave was based on the demands of the program being beyond his expectations.
The source also said that Bile also determined that his playing time wasn’t going to be sufficient. Bile worked out with the Braves for the first summer session, which ended Friday."

He transferred to Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, a member of the Southland Conference, and sat out the 2018-19 season.

In 2019-20 he quickly became a starter and lead the team in scoring and rebounding (14.3 ppg & 7.6 rpg). He also shot 38% from three.

Now he is entered into the Transfer Portal. He has only 1 season of eligibility left, and he might be a grad-transfer, which would make him attractive to a lot of schools. Maybe we could see Chudier with one of the MVC opponents next season?

Losing Chudier that late was a real kick in the teeth for Bradley. I remember thinking he would be a strong interior player, didn't know that he could also shoot. Him quitting really hurt at the time.

Yes, it did. Turns out we probably could have used his talent. But, the unused scholarship allowed our coaches to award a scholarship to 4-year walkon Pete Hanley for his senior year. So it was definitely not a wasted scholarship.

What a great reminder and positive take. Hanley getting a scholarship was one of the coolest things I've ever seen a college program do. And you could tell how touched Pete was when they told him. They was a pretty special day!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I hope he doesn't find the same problem there that lead him to leave Bradley-
