  • Some BU Nostalgia

Here is an old "Blast from the Past" video I stumbled across.

    And a few others
    2019 MVC Tournament run-

Highlights of Bradley's 18 point comeback to beat UNI in 2019 MVCT championship-

WMBD special "The Road the the NCAA Tournament" about the 2019 MVCT championsip-

Highlights of 2020 MVC Tournament Championship win over Valparaiso-

1982 highlights- NIT Championship year (WMBD program complete with commercials!)- this video has lots of great memories of the 1982 team and Dick Versace, including the infamous phantom foul call in the Hawaii Rainbow Tournament when official Larry Yamashita called a non-existent foul on Bradley's Barney Mines that handed the game to San Francisco. Dick went ballistic, yanked the whistle off Yamashita's neck and threw it into the crowd (not shown). He received 2 technical fouls and was ejected (14:00 mark). But the video does have a happy ending (NIT championship highlights).

Bradley beats Kansas in 1st round of 2006 NCAA Tournament (full game- thanks to Tommy)-

    Thanks for the plug, Coach!

Also, you can find the 2nd round game from the 2006 NCAA here (unable to post to Youtube, but you can find it on Rumble):

I'll have to pirate those videos and add them to the channel when I find time!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I was at the Hawaii game, Bradley vs San Francisco, and a local informed me that the refs "fixed the games" to ensure that the seeds won. It was obvious that Bradley was going to win and the refs were not going to allow that to take place. There were several other calls that went for the seeded team. The Bradley fans cheered Versace when he threw the ref's whistle in the crowd. San Francisco had a center, Wallace Bryant, that was drafted in the first round for the Chicago Bulls. They also had another player, Quintin Dailey, who also was drafted by the Bulls. The "Dons" program was shut down for a few years following reports of Dailey of sexual assault and illegal payments from an alumni. It was an interesting time.
