Update on the players who left Bradley and were still playing this past season-

Sean East - finished his college eligibility this past season as the leading scorer for Missouri. He averaged 17.6 ppg, over 4 points per game more than the next highest scorer. He also lead the team in minutes played (34.4 mpg), assists (4.0), and 3-point FG% (45.0%). He shot 52.1% overall, terrific for a point guard, and he was 85.6% from the FT line. Unfortunately, Missouri was the last place team in the SEC with one of the worst records in their history. Their final record was 8-24, and 0-18 in the SEC.

Sean Houpt- After one season at Bradley as a recruited walk-on, and three seasons at Division II Florida Tech, Sean played as a D1 scholarship player at the College of William & Mary this past season. He was injured part of the season and played in 24 games, starting 11 of them. William & Mary finished 10-23, and 4-14 in the Coastal Athletic Association (formerly the Colonial Athletic Association- name changed for political correctness). Sean finished as the 5th leading scorer with these averages- 25.0 mpg, 7.9 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.6 apg, 34.1% from floor, 31.7% from three. At the conclusion of their season, William & Mary fired head coach Dane Fischer.

Rienk Mast- Rienk is one of three former Braves still playing. He has had a terrific season in the Big Ten, helping Nebraska to a tie for 3rd place with a 23-10 overall record, and 12-8 in the Big Ten. Rienk averages a team leading 29.8 minutes per game, and is 3rd in scoring with a 12.5 ppg average, 7.6 rpg (6th in the Big Ten), and he leads the team in assists (3.0 apg). He is shooting 34.2% from three. Nebraska is an 8-seed in the NCAA Tournament and they play 9-seed Texas A&M on Friday in Memphis at 5:50 pm (TNT).

Zek Montgomery- Zek is a junior at Rhode Island, which finished its season 12-20 overall, and 6-12 in the Atlantic 10, and in 10th place. Zek played in 31 games, starting 15 of them in the first half of the season. He came off the bench for the last half of their season. Zek averaged 25.5 mpg, 9.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.5 apg, and he shot 31.5% (28-89) from three. He was Bradley's leading three point percentage shooter last season with 42.2% (35-83).

James "Pop" Weathers- Played in 31 games at Texas A&M- Commerce, starting 7 of them. He averaged 15.6 mpg, 2.2 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 1.5 apg, and he shot 22.9% overall, and 19.6% from three. TAMC finished their season 13-20, and 6-12, and 7th place in the Southland Conference. He has one season of eligibility left for his Covid year.

Jayson Kent- He showed tremendous improvement over his 2 seasons at Bradley and last season at Indiana State. Jayson started 32 of 33 games. He missed one due to injury, and came off the bench once due to the same injury (concussion). He is averaging 29.6 mpg, 12.9 ppg, 8.1 rpg, and he shot 62.2% overall, and 33.3% from three. Indiana State plays SMU in the 1st round of the NIT Tournament on Wednesday, March 20.

Antonio Thomas is the other former Bradley player whose team is not done playing yet. Evansville (16-17) plays Quinnipiac (24-9) on Sunday at 4:30 pm in the 1st round of the CBI Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida. Antonio spent 2 seasons at Bradley, then 2 seasons at D2 Kentucky Wesleyan, before finishing his college career at Evansville this season. He started all 33 games for Evansville, so far, and has averaged 25.5 mpg, 7.7 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.7 apg, and he is shooting 42.3% overall, and 31.4% from three.

JaMir Price- JaMir was a 2019 Bradley commit who enrolled for a couple summer semesters at Bradley in 2019, then left and since has spent time at Quincy University (2019-20), Mineral Area College (2 seasons), where he played with Malevy Leons in the 2020-21 season, Cleveland State (2022-23), and now at Division II Minnesota Moorhead. Jamir was the team's 2nd leading scorer (14.5 ppg). The Moorhead State Dragons had a great season and finished 24-6.

Max Ekono- After spending 1½ seasons at Bradley (2021-2022 and first half of 2022-23), Max spent time at Clarendon College in Texas, but did not play there. He played the 2023-24 season at Southeastern Community College in Iowa. He played in 29 games, and averaged 6.3 ppg, 5.5 rpg, and shot 51.7% overall, and 33.3% from three. I guess it wasn’t his final season - he transferred to Cleveland State for 2023-24
And now 2024-25 will be his 6th year of college ball.
      He’s playing 2024-25 at SIUE
Jamir enrolled and became a Bradley Brave in Summer 2019.
