  • BU commit 2017- Luqman Lundy

I have heard Bradley is recruiting another junior college point guard- Luqman Lundy, a 6'3" guard from Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa. They were 23-10 this past season.

He averaged 13.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, and 5.6 apg this past season (2016-17).
    He shot 43.2% from three.-

He has offers from Loyola, Florida International, and UT Martin, and has recruiting interest from several other mid-majors.

He is visiting Bradley this weekend.

He is originally from Atlanta, and graduated from Benjamin Mays HS in 2014. Here is an old video from his senior year in high school-

He did a year of prep school at Concord Prep in Concord, North Carolina for the 2014-15 season.

He is #11 in this team picture-

I predict a good chance one of the BU recruits will commit in the next few days.

      Some sites say 6-3
Most sites say 6-4 - LINK LINK
Some sites say 6-5 - LINK

I can't find anywhere that says he's made any college visits yet...despite already having a few offers..
so he must think there's something special about the chance to play at Bradley!

Congratulations to Luqman Lundy, the newest Bradley Brave!
Lundy visited the Bradley campus this past weekend, and liked what he saw.

                  Bingo!

Sometimes inviting 2 similar recruits to campus simultaneously for one available scholarship and challenging them that the first one who commits will get the scholarship is an effective method!

                      Dave Reynolds tweeted-

BU recruit Luqman Lundy is Brian Wardle's 1st junior college commitment at Bradley. Other offers from Loyola, UT-Martin and Fla Int'l.

To clarify, technically, this is not quite true. Coach Wardle landed one junior college recruit last spring. Jojo McGlaston was recruited from and graduated from Diablo Valley College, a junior college in Northern California, in 2016. He had also played 2 seasons at Utah State prior to attending Diablo Valley College.

Bradley's new commit posts this announcement of his verbal using the old logo we were once told not to display or wear any more...

"Extremely excited to announce that I have committed to Bradley University ! #AllAboutTheB #BradleyBasketball"

Any more action? Are you suggesting another current player might be leaving?

Are there any videos of Lugman Lundy from Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa's last season?

I am not suggesting it will happen, but I am suggesting it is always a possibility & that it HAS happened in past seasons...

In 2015 Warren Jones didn't leave until August, Xzavier Taylor didn't leave until the END of April
Also in 2015 both Reggie Lynch (ISU) and Max Bielfeldt (Michigan) didn't decide to transfer until late April.

In 2013 both Jalen Crawford & Shayok Shayok waited until April to decide to transfer - LINK

In 2010 Eddren didn't leave til April - and so it goes....
The school year academically is still more than a month from completion, so possibly someone else before then might choose to leave.
Your guess is as good as mine, but kids leave for two main reasons...
One of not enough playing time, the other is they think they can do better at a higher level.

                              Welcome to Bradley, Luqman!

I see he led NJCAA Region II in steals (love that!) as well as minutes played.

We have a pantry full of high quality guards in DB, Jayden, DLO, Pitt, Nate and now Luqman. I look forward to seeing how Coach Wardle utilizes them. Do you think we'll play three guards a lot?
