My mom always said life was like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're gonna get ... unless it comes to this team playing defense. Then you just never get it.
 
Roberts really doesn't give us much of anything good. a loss to #221 in RPI=on our way to Thursday night and hopefully a warmer seat for our coach. His lifetime pass is in danger of being revoked.

We need a defensive coordinator because obviously Jim hasn't a clue what he is doing and hasn't for well, his coaching career at the university...


How many times are we going to give up 80 this year to teams that usually can barely hit for 70..:?:
 
Hey, we could turn this into a positive....nobody likes playing defense, so come on down to BU, where you don't have to worry about playing 'D'!!!

Seriously though, this is a roller coaster team, up one game, down the next. Unfortunately, the lows are always much lower than the highs are high......um, I just can't get that to really sound good, you guys get what I mean, right?

How much more of the same old same old can everyone take?


We have guys who can't set screens;


We play the same craptastic defense since his inception


We have no team concept whatsoever unless Edge is playing the point, which is VERY sad since he's been in the system the least bit of time


Our forces on the glass are Taylor and Theron who are 6'6" (in high heels) and NOT our BIGGER guy who couldn't chase down a ball w/ stick-em on his hands in open gym.


What else can really be said other than this is the same story w/ different opponents...

BU MISSED 55 SHOTS in this game....simply awful...

We give up 80 points...50 IN THE FIRST HALF...to a team that didn't score 50 points in their last game.....horrible!

68% from the free throw line....lousy!

22% from three point range...terrible!

DC gets his first three fouls on moving screens...25 feet from the hoop! My goodness JL, Plant his arse on the block and get him the ball.

At this point I have absolutely no idea where you start to try and make things better.
 
The 50 point first half was due to UWM shooting threes out of their head.
Bradley played very good defense in the 2nd half.
This game was lost because Bradley can't make open three point shots, and missed about a dozen layups. I am not sure this will get much better this year. If Bradley had one three-point shooter, such as Warren, this game is much different.

All I'm saying is if he's going to play him...put him in a spot where he might score. He has shown that he can make a shot now and then....
 
How many moving screens do we get called for every game? Why do we not have a consisent 40 minute effort? Too many short players who can't shoot? We're 10 games into this season and we're still seeing the same mistakes made every game. It's time for us to man up and start playing the way we're capable of playing otherwise it'll be a long Valley season. Having said all of that I still hold out hope that with Wilkins eventually becoming eligible and AW hopefully coming back to play we can still have a successful season. I always drink my kool-aide be it Braves, Bears and Cubs.
