Postgame- BU 56 ISU 52

Great win against a very good opponent, I thought our good start was important as I don"t think ISU believed that we could beat them tonight, they had a hard time against our defense and seemed to take a lot of ill advised shots, Roberts did a great job of guarding Eldredge as O made some deep 3 pointers even though Roberts had a hand in his face.
This team has really gotten better over the last 2 weeks and needs to keep working hard and be ready to take Creighton down on saturday night. Hopefully we will have another sellout .
 
I think we have an atheletic team and isu also has one......I think we were more atheltic in person than on tape and isu was surprised soemone could run and jump with them as easy as the Braves did it!

Let's be honest here. We were better than ISU 2 years ago and have gotten better recruits than them the last two years. We were bigger and more athletic than them and it really showed.

JL made a great coaching move when he put CR back in the starting lineup (6'5 verus 5'8). He is playing great and has helped the play of TW, SS and DC.
 
Hey - what was up with the out of bounds possession coming out of a media time out like at the under 12 mark? ISU and Bradley both thought it was Bradley's ball... but they gave it to ISU. I heard Higgens say that he called "it off of White (while pointing at White and their possession/bucket) and it is Red ball (so then switching and pointing to Red's possession/bucket)". But that was AFTER the time-out was over. Coach Les didn't know it... and I don't think Jank did either.

I think we just got hosed there.... I did like Jank's Magic timeout/not timeout...

Had to work and missed the game but hopefully they'll get the replay up on BuBraves.tv (and then I'll actually buy the package ;-)).

I have to admit, I predicted a loss to both ISU and to Creighton. I was wrong. :oops:

I thought they called it ISU ball before the timeout and it was clearly off an ISU player. It seemed pretty pobvious to me.

They were good refs but they missed a few calls
 
Congrats to the team and coaching staff. Great win. Great defense, good rebounding and great hustle all night long. This team is not perfect, but is really improving in the important areas that win games. As big as this win was tonight, I think the wins on the road against WSU and MSU were even bigger. BU showed on the road the toughness to withstand a run by the home teams and gut out wins. I like the toughness of this team. The zone affected BU tonight. Need to get it fixed. Would like to see more inside out against the zone and attacking the zone inside to get fouls. Defense by Roberts was very good. Would like to see if they could improve it by keeping King O from getting the ball. Sing is playing huge minutes in his senior year. Taylor Brown will be a special player in the future I think.

LOL - yea, that was a good one too. But I think he WAS yelling at his players about calling timeout if/when or something... which I think that's also the story Jank told the officials... and the Ref musta put together the chatter he heard before the "key words" and realized his own mistake.
