Somebody over on Redbirdfan.com is saying that our crowd noise and cheerleaders are amplified through the Carver Arena sound system. Is this true? It doesn't seem that way to me.

It definitely is... it might be hard to tell from where you are sitting but where we were in section 19- there is a speaker pointed right down at us and you can clearly tell it is amplified...
It wasn't as bad as last year... I specifically remember seeing a male cheerleader point his megaphone (or w/e you call it) directly at a microphone hanging from the rafters... you could hear every word he said...and you could tell it is coming from the speakers
Most bands have microphones on their set but the ones at Carver pick up much more then the band playing...
I am not complaining too much... other then it was just annoying... but i was just answering the question.
At least we don't let our drummers play while the game is going on.....

I only really notice it when the front row left girl in the band screams for her dear life. Even for me...that's loud
Yeah.... it scared me so much i sat on your burrito at halftime... sorry about that...
However, it is not allowed under NCAA rules. It is bad sportsmanship. The one that is most annoying to me is when the front girls (along with the screaming one) sing Wheels on the Bus during opponents' free throws.
