Valley Talk Poll

Well, with Shuckers making the majority of that board, I am not surprised. Gregg Marshall is the biggest blowhard by far, and has yet to produce anything. Unfortunately I think Jim's votes are based more on his rep as a player and less as his rep as a coach. Yeah, he's had his moments, but had he not been a star at BU who's confidence (key word) made him a star, I doubt the rest of the league would have as much ire with him. A lot of them remember when he kicked their @ss on his way to a 16-0 senior season. It's probably not a pleasant memory...

An ISU fans says about Jankovich...Who voted for him?. He's one of the more laid-back, calm, stoic coaches the Valley has had for some time.

I find it hard to believe a 5'10" white suburban catholic school product could ever be considered a 'thug'. They have a guy who's game is eerily similar to Jim's, and his name is Bryan Mullins. Is he a 'thug'? :-o

Do you disagree or just pointing it out for sh!ts and giggles?
 
Quite simple.... if you don't like Bradley or if there is anything related to Bradley you don't like (for examples: a player, coach, or even a poster on this board).... then you must:

1) REALLY miss the old days of the PJStar Message Board before this board started

2) Still like to hang out at the PJStar board

3) Like hanging out at ValleyTalk

Sorry.... I won't be voting in that poll. Can't wait for another poll like the one at the PJStar Message board where the majority thought ICC would beat Bradley (the year Bradley went to the NIT).

The PJStar board is moderated by ISU fans, wonder why they felt that way?
 
That poll has to be one of the most rediculous things I have seen, I don"t believe any of the coaches in the Valley have done anything to warrant this kind of measure; now a Gary Williams or Kelvin Sampson would make more sense.
 
Of all those guys JL probably IS the most confident/cocky of them. SO what. When you've hammered ISU like we have since JL has been coach I imagine he WOULD be annoying:)

The poll was started becuase ISU was getting hammered in the other stoopid poll about most prestigious programs. They are denying BU's history becuase they don't have one.

BU was "winning" that one and it usually doesn't take long for a 5th grade school kid to start a poll like this one so he can rebuild his crumbling self esteem and feel good about himself again.
 
Exactly...

It's a dead bird (oops I meant board, but I'll leave it in) and nobody cares about it. So why should we care about the opinions that go on it....everyone knows it's not a representation of how the valley actually feels just how about 40 or 50 guys feel.

It's stupid really. Not even worth anyone's time...including the peoples' who run it.

Hey now Danny Cooksey has an ISU edumacation, or so he says.
 
Usually it is a badge of honor to be annoying amongst your rivals, especially if the reason is you are tired of losing to your rival (say 9 of the last 11). I think many rivals though Jim's was annoying as a player, too.,

Hopefully, some day, Jim can come a little closer to rivaling Coach K on the highly annoying scale....
 
I'm with MM and am not going to waste my time. JL should take it as a badge of honor that these guys think of him so much that they started a thread. I'm sure there has been a few of these polls in the ACC and I'm sure Coach K would win them. It just shows the other schools fans lack of confidence. I'm sure most of the posters voting for Les come from inferior academic schools.

I was going to ICC at the time and I knew a lot of their basketball players. They all talked like they could kick our butts and couldn't wait to transfer over to the Hilltop and take over. I won a lot of money from those guys that postseason.
