I didn't realize our team,coach, and fans were hated that much.....wow
I have nothing against a state education but why is it that all the flaming of BU come from people who went to state sponsored schools? Insecurities run really deep in society and I see no difference in these boards on how they manifest themselves. I do understand ISU's flaming because it is a fierce rivalry and most of it is in jest but the other school fans have me wondering if there is some anger issues with them.
If someone wants to start a poll I mean really who cares. But when they start one then in the opening post make note to say..."i know who ISU, SIU and UNI fans will vote for" its obvious the poll was done for ONE reason.....the guys as flamer.
If you allready know who most people are going to vote for...where is the need for a poll to find out? He was upset, and I can't really understand why, becuase BU was getting props for the being most prestigious program (most history) in the Valley. "I'll start a poll that will knock BU down and make me feel GOOD about myself again." Serious insecurity issues at work here.
Again....thats what we have come to expect from ISU fans, just go to the games and listen to the trash they spew.

That's why I don't hang out at Valley Talk. It's a flamer board.
And I know this might hurt your feelings, but the PJStar board became a flamer board. That's why I left. When this board started, I stayed over there. Til Bradley lost to SIU in the MVCT Championship in 06. And it was a bunch of flaming. I left and was done. I posted my goodbye and said I'd miss a lot of them but they know where to find me... at the new board at bradleyfans.com. And it got deleted.
Ba-bye flamers.

MM..why would where you post or don't post hurt my feelings. I have siad this before but I think people get to wrapped up about various sites be it this one, VT, Pjstar.....they all have good and bad points. I have read crazy stuff on most any site I have visited. Heck I have been PART of some of that crazy stuff.....so what.
Its like going in to a sports bar...you may not like the owner but if they serve beer and talk sports I'm there. If I don't like the conversation at one table I'll go to the next.

I left that bar. And I have checked out a couple other bars. Nothing against them... but I don't care to "stroke" the talk. And I don't want to "fight the fight". I'm out.

I don't think prefer to post here. But I know when I disagree with something that is said here, I have no problem saying so. I don't think I or most ISU posters do it in a disrespectful way either.
Thats a stretch. Tornado you read other boards daily too.
We get BU posters all the time. It's a shame they don't use the same screeenname as they do here. Why do you think that is?

You will be hard pressed to find a single thread dedicated to BU, other than an ISU-BU score prediction thread. You guys have game threads devolted to our games against UNI and SIU.
Who knows? Maybe. Kids will be kids.
This site is set up very nicely and there are some very insightful posters who frequent this board. Bradleyfans is certainly one of the better message boards in the MVC. I come here from time to time, and mostly all I do is read what has been posted. Occasionally I feel the need to reply, and today is one of those days.
You did say earlier in this thread that Saluki fans don't like Salukitalk, which is beyond ridiculous. We have more posters on our board than any other MVC school. Bradleyfans is the only board that I'm aware of that rivals Salukitalk in terms of posters and traffic. Of course we have some bickering and arguing, but our board is set up in a way that allows people to have open and honest discussions, regardless of one's point of view. To claim that other message board posters are jealous of Bradleyfans is silly. Like I said earlier, this is a nice site with good posters, but other MVC schools have nice sites and good posters as well. You guys are no better or worse than anyone else (well maybe we're all better than Wichita State fans).
And as to your point about not posting on other team's message boards; maybe you don't post on those sites, but you do bring back tidbits of information, mostly negative, and spin your own threads on this website. I don't have a problem with you doing this, but I must ask, is that any better than bickering with opposing team's fans on their message boards?
And to actually post on this thread's subject, who cares that Jim Les is getting the most votes on a stupid poll at Valleytalk? Valleytalk has mostly been irrelevant for years. The constant arguing, the pissing competitions, and the lack of actual basketball discussion killed that board long ago. I think I'd be honored if Coach Lowery was the most despised coach in the Valley. That usually means your teams wins a lot of games and other teams get tired of losing to you.
Tone Bone thanks for your perspective. There are a few posters here that are a bit dogmatic in their approach to BU and others like me who like to drink directly from the Kool-aid pitcher. I rarely read any other board be appreciate the posts from other schools fan when they are insightful and help keep us somewhat grounded.
