See ya for another season. I am taking a break until fall. Eveyone enjoy your spring and summer. Today's game just too predictable. Coach Les got out coached yet again. Maybe year eight will be better.

Bradley needs an Adam Koch type player in a bad way. I think the rest of the pieces coming back next year are pretty good, but they just don't have that scorer in the post.

I end up where I started -- off the bandwagon. We need to get some better players. I think they have have a lot of heart and did a great job with what they have but we should be able to recruit more with what we have to offer.

We need a scorer. Who is going to replace Wilson next year?

Les needs to step up his coaching too.

If we don't lose to a D3 team next year I will probably be back on the wagon then.

My last post before what I call summer break from BU basketball. (I really hope BravesforLife's comments were light-hearted because all I am doing is moving to different things for a while--anything wrong with that?) InMnBob1, you have a great perspective and I agree with you. Great post. I watched Prosser play the other night and can't wait! I'm not quiting, just moving my focus to some spring and summer activities with my boys and getting off the computer. Love you all. Take care and the best to all of you.

We have a post season

We have a post season

Don't leave so soon. I fully expect a CBI bid. I know it's not much, but it will be great to see these guys play, and continue to work on their synergy. What else are you doing for the rest of the month? Unless you live in Florida, it's still cold outside in most places!

Yes, it was another average BU season but did the best that Bradley could of done. Losing a potential league MVP and another brief good starter is really hard to overcome and beat the best in the league. Plus Dodie wasn't at his full potential today. I'll be ok with the CBI but i'm not crazy about it. With finances getting tight, I don't even know if i'll be able to front the $50-100 for a game or 2. Certainly looking forward to next season though, should be a great year unless the injuries return.

Taylor Brown and either Prosser/Milos will certainly man the 4 to replace Theron. Brown has played great when given decent minutes but has made his rookie mistakes like any rookie does.

I am probably in the minority here, but I actually believe the coaching staff did a good job in this tournament! Given what we had going into this tourney, I thought 1 win would be expected, 2 wins would be great and 3 wins...well I didnt expect more than 1 win to be honest... For the most part, the offensive spacing was better than what I have seen during the regular season, and our offensive sets were executed better. UNI beat us three times this year and have proven they are the better team. I could go on about other things, but that horse has been shot dead a long time ago.

I meant no offense GTD. Have a great summer and see ya in November :)

Thank you! You have a great summer too. I may or may not go to any CBI games... just depends on the night, babysitters, etc. Take care all.

I was hoping for 2 wins because we played UNI really tough this year. And teams do get hot and can win 3 games in 3 nights. But in retrospect we played well with what we had this year, and there will still be some basketball left. The CBI had some good teams, and it should be competitive as usual, or even that other new tournament.

And agreed on Les. What else can you expect the guy to do? And I'm not saying that because "we are not allowed" to speak bad against Les. I genuinely feel Les has done as good a job as can be expected with the injuries we had to endure! I understand we need to get the ball inside more, but we don't have the post players to do that every night other than when we play depleted teams like SIU. Hopefully Prosser will feel the bill, and we have other players that can get better in the post anyway. It's not like we did not try to try different things this year. We did. And I think we can only get much better next year!

So let's enjoy the CBI or CIT or whatever we got left as this will help the returnees get more valuable experience which can make next year a lot of fun! :D

To set the record straight, I checked our record for this season, and we do not have a loss to a D3 team (it was an exhibition you are recalling- and it did not count).

I think the coaches did a good job. Their game plan for SIU was superb, and the SIU guards couldn't do anything except launch fall-away threes.
They also took UNI's outside game away from them. Unfortunately, their guys stepped up and beat Bradley a different way. That is what champion teams are capable of.

I think we should congratulate and thank this team, players, and coaches for overachieving, and never giving up. I know a lot of fans appreciate that, and so do I.

We actually improved this year. 18-14, 10-8 and 1-1 in the Valley tourney versus 17-15, 9-9 and 0-1 in the Valley tourney last year. And we finished 4th, up from 5th last year.

Maybe baby steps, but considering the injuries, not bad at all!

Just a couple of things to add...

IMO this was Les' best coaching job since the 2006-07 NIT team.

GTD, I am looking forward to your return this fall.

I think the staff did a good job this season as once again injuries hurt our teams chances, the loss of Warren meant that Ruffin, Crouch, Salley and Warren which is 4 of last years 5 starters had to be replaced, a very impossible thing to ask , but no excuses were made and we played hard and turned in a decent season, also the loss of Egolf effected us on the inside.

Those who understand college basketball will realize that this year's BU team was a success and exceeded all expectations after injury and losing the 3 top scorers from last year's team.

Great job by the coaches and players! I'm not ready for this season to end and am expecting a CBI bid (my fingers are crossed;) ).
