Let's suggest some names for the new arena!

It might all become a moot point if someone steps up and secures naming rights for the new basketball arena...

but currently, the name of the new arena is..........

"Bradley University Arena"

Hey -- we gotta do better than this.....

I really don't have any good ideas...but propose a few suggestions to get the discussion started on what name to use until and when someone else gets naming rights........

The Un-Civic Center
The Palace
The Wigwam (not politically sensitive)
Fieldhouse 2.0
The Hangar (well, the old one was a hangar)

I'm sure the Arena will be dedicated to someone during the dedication which is supposed to take place during homecoming week. My guess is that someone will throw a lot of money at it to get their name on it.

But this day in age, I also wouldn't be surprised if a company like Caterpillar or something donates money to get their name on it. I know they already are a huge part of our campus but a lot more places are getting corporate sponsorships and named as such so I wouldn't be surprised to see a company name on the new Arena in the future.

Again a difference about what should be done and will be done.

IMHO the new arena should be named after AJ Robertson. Keep in mind, I thought that the practice floor should have been named after Joe Stowell!

Wigwam...hands down.

I know you are kidding with this. But in case there are any fans who don't realize this, Bradley is extremely sensitive to this issue of Native American imagery and names, for good reason.
The museum part of the new arena is fantastic, and well worth a visit by BU fans. But even there you won't find any reference to that part of Bradley's past, and any new names for the arena will definitely stay away from any suggestion of that.

"The men's basketball team will host all potential home games in campus-site postseason tournaments on campus"

This has been all Ive read on here for about a week, so no doubt it would be a very popluar name for the new arena. :)

Which is an absolute joke.

I agree......

Postseason Arena

(p.s. - It's been repeated because there are those that believe it's not true; to which I ask.....why would BU send that information out in a press release?)
