I was at the Barnes and Noble in Omaha over the weekend and they had the Lindy's, Athlon and Sporting News previews. I don't know if there is a Barnes & Noble in Wichita, but you could try Barnesandnoble.com.Where is a good place to pick them up? Obviously I'm no where close to most of you since I am in Kansas. I checked a local grocery store that usually carry them and they didn't have anything yet. Are there any chains that might be in Wichita that I can get them at? Where do you all pick yours up in Peoria?

Sporting news had us as having the 8th best recruiting class....OUCH.
Well, we'll worry about that after this season.Let's just do as well as we can this year, and let the chips fall where they will afterwards.
Not good if true, but as always, what happens in reality versus on paper are two completely different thinks most of the time.
Well, I can agree with you on worrying about this years recruiting class later, because its over, done:!: I ve seen a lot of things on paper that looked good and bad. How it turns out either way, is real, what it will be:!: If it does not turn out the way it is wrote, then it should be nothing more, than paper hanging on a bathroom wall, waiting to be used.
But a program's/business's success is a on going project in progress:!: Not a one and done or waiting tell the bottom falls out:!: So with what looks like a not so good/weak recruiting class this year and the lost of 3 top players next year, it's rightfully so to have concern about the programs future:!: What happens if things don't go right this year, then what:!: Just saying, friend:!: Hoping this year's team wins it all![]()

Out of curiosity, could you list the complete MVC recruiting rankings out of that publication?
Rating the recruiting classes:
1. Drake
2. Creighton
3. Illinois State
4. Southern Illinois
5. Wichita State
6. Indiana State
7. Northern Iowa
8. Bradley
9. Missouri St
10. Evansville
one service ranked Lamar as the 8th best recruiting class in the NATION this year -- so much for ranking recruiting classes..
Here are a couple other reminders...
in both 2007 & 2008, SIU had recruiting classes that were ranked nationally - they are 33-30, 14-22 in Valley play since
In 2007 & 2008 Indiana had Top 10 recruiting classes nationally, they are 16-46, 5-31 in the BT since
It's hard to believe that Bradley has an unused scholarship with all the new facilities to sell prospects on.
So if a kid redshirts, he must suck? Interesting logic....a team that is strong with lots of seniors and everyone returning from the prior year would quite naturally be ranked low because they wouldn't have any open scholarships. Thus ranking recruiting classes is hard to interpret...
BTW -- Creighton is ranked at #2 -- and yet of their 3 new recruits (McDermott, Artino, and Manighat) I have heard or read of redshirt talk
on two of those three.....so just which recruits of Creighton's is that guy doing the ranking being swayed by??
we have lots of unused ones for upcoming years, and most of that is good...
the one 2010 ride we have was because we were first holding it for JW, then for MO, but we were foiled by factors outside our control.
Seems like it's danged if you do, danged if you don't...if you don't hold a scholarship for a big man -- one half of the fans erupt,
but if we do hold it for a big man, then we sure don't want to just throw it away on someone who won't help at all.
