Some thoughts...
1. I thought the slow down was a good game plan. We are short on scholarship guys, and they are deep and to get into a running contest would not have worked. It was an attempt to win the game. Didn't work, but who's to say it wasn't the best option?
2. I thought Jordan played great. He has fought through his wall and is starting to realize that he is one of the best players on the team. You can see it in the way he moves on the court.
3. Walt. He screwed up. If the plan is to drain the shot clock, whether you agree with it or not, you better agree that Walt should do what his coach is asking him. He went flying down the lane for one of those crazy flip-em-ups with at least 10-seconds left on the shot clock. Yes you want to see him get minutes for the future, but you also want him to listen to his coach, also for the future.
4. I thought the effort was there, I'm not sure why some people continue to be dumbfounded every game when we struggle. We were 10 points down with 10 minutes left, which I thought was a pretty good place to be, considering who we are, and who they are, and on the road. I think if you want to really analyze the game, go back to when it was 43-33 with about 10 min left, and watch from there until it got out of hand. Did they win it, or did we lose it? I don't know the answer.
