BU 41 -- WS 61 postgame

Please no more post game....."we need to work harder on D' stuff".....if you can score you can stay in the game...we were down 15-20 and walked the ball down court the whole game?

I agree...I always hear the same old story...

But we don't rebound, we don't get the ball inside knowing we aren't a good perimeter team, and we just flat out don't score...

Yet nothing has been done to fix that!

Smith has a career day (usual against us) and yet they still scored only 61...

Most times that should be a W...

Like I said before, if we can score 70, we win most games.

Feeling happy that I completely forgot to watch this game. Obviously didnt miss anything.

Considering how many leads we have blown the last few years by trying to stall and run the shot clock down this new offensive plan by JL just reinforces my opinion that he needs to be replaced NOW!

Could be, but we would've seen a breakout on offense by now if we were capable of it.

I'd like to see Milos get 20-25 minutes just to see if he can consistently supply offense. A lack of willingness to experiment by Les is a bit discouraging.

Why experiment when you can find many different ways to lose with the same group?

I'll give him credit...at least he's consistent in the loss column...

But really, I don't get it either...0-11 and yet there has been only 3 different lineups used...

Does he think he's gonna get more flack for starting Milos or AT?

The reason they ONLY scored 61 against us is becuase we did walk the ball up the court....we try and out score em and then end up beating us 81-61.

Walk it up...run it up...when you only have ONE offensive weapon it doesn't really matter.

I happen to be wearing my "are you fan enough?" shirt. Not sure if this board would allow me to write an answer...

This stands out....WS limited Bradley to 2 pts in the last 7 minutes of the first half.....and BU didn't look to score until the shot clock read 10 secs.....I hope we scratch this O'...clearly didn't work!

Fell asleep at around the 7 min mark of the 1st half. Didn't worry about dvr....no need to...

Seeing president glasser at the game..she has too be embarrassed that this is all we got.

Yeah well his substitution patterns over a 9 yr period never cease to amaze me...

I actually have felt like Anthony and Milos are seeing a little light at the end of the tunnel, yet he still feels like he has to play Dodie and Drew 38 mpg...

At some point I would like to see this lineup on the floor:

Eastman @ PG
Lemon
Knezevic
Thompson
Prosser

And yes I like Eastman at the PG because he's a better player off the dribble and he's a playmaker

I agree with one exception. I would replace WL with AW and then I thought I would replace AT with ----? WL? Why not try 3 bigs and 2 guards that can score or make something happen rather than just playing fast and creating nothing quickly. I don't know though. We might actually get a rebound, a put back, and just think -- our smallest player would be 6'5". God forbid that it might be hard for the other team to shoot 3s over bigger lineup.

Perception is not always reality but it looked like she was having a grand time...

There was even a point where Dodie travelled 30 ft from the basket and they showed her in the crowd clapping after...

I can understand enthusiasm, but having played the game myself, I can not ever recall clapping after myself or a teammate had a turnover and we were down by 12.

I wasn't there, I am not Glasser, but as President her job is to be BU's #1 Cheerleader. I doubt she was applauding a turnover, but could very well see her encouraging Dodie and the Braves, saying something like "Keep your head up, move on to the next play, have to play good defense now... "

Some thoughts...

1. I thought the slow down was a good game plan. We are short on scholarship guys, and they are deep and to get into a running contest would not have worked. It was an attempt to win the game. Didn't work, but who's to say it wasn't the best option?

2. I thought Jordan played great. He has fought through his wall and is starting to realize that he is one of the best players on the team. You can see it in the way he moves on the court.

3. Walt. He screwed up. If the plan is to drain the shot clock, whether you agree with it or not, you better agree that Walt should do what his coach is asking him. He went flying down the lane for one of those crazy flip-em-ups with at least 10-seconds left on the shot clock. Yes you want to see him get minutes for the future, but you also want him to listen to his coach, also for the future.

4. I thought the effort was there, I'm not sure why some people continue to be dumbfounded every game when we struggle. We were 10 points down with 10 minutes left, which I thought was a pretty good place to be, considering who we are, and who they are, and on the road. I think if you want to really analyze the game, go back to when it was 43-33 with about 10 min left, and watch from there until it got out of hand. Did they win it, or did we lose it? I don't know the answer.

I think she mouthed

Lets go BU...

It was harmless.

I was hoping it was

Im gonna fire YOU :)

Our offense could be good and you'd never know...

This was a Mo type game...just wait it out and maybe the Shox will fall asleep like I did

I actually did fall asleep during the game, but I attributed it to working the overnight shift last night. Maybe that wasn't the case and it was just the game that put me to sleep.

I hope the commentators flood free time with all about our injuries....

This is going to be an embarassing national television appearance....

Too bad that after all the years we wanted the Braves on National tv, the season they decide to put them on several times was the season they lost their top 2 players. Never know what's going to happen after they schedule these games, but like it or not, everyone knows the Braves would have been more competitive with TB and SM.
