And the bids have started.

19-13 and #3 seed UNC-Asheville knocks off top seed 28-5 (16-2) Coastal Carolina by 13 points today to get the 1st auto bid. This is UNC-Asheville's 2nd trip to the big dance. 1 bubble possibly just burst with CC losing.

Coastal has the NCAA peeking at some of their records while losing players left and right to suspension AND injury. That'll be an 8 seed in the NIT.

Belmont is headed for the 13 line and is going to scare the crap out of all prospective 4 seeds in the next week.

Looks like #2 seed 23-9 (13-5) Morehead State is going to take the Ohio Valley over #4 seed Tenn. Tech by roughly 15 points.

It also appears that 22-5 Harvard is going to take the Ivy League regular season auto bid.

The MVC championship is the only auto bid for tomorrow.

If Princeton beats Penn I'm pretty sure the Ivy goes to a winner take all deathmatch late next week.

Ahh roger that, yah looks like they split the season matchups. Harvard just beat them today by 12 points. Princeton beat them last month by 4 points.

I'm putting the odds of Indiana St being a 14 seed vs. a 15 seed 50/50. It's going to take a lot of luck to get up to the 13 line.

So the 1-bid MVC is headed quite possibly to the 15 line. And geography pretty much dictates a matchup like Notre Dame/Indiana St in round 1.

Ye Gods.

Much as I love the valley, I'd have to root for my Irish! :) I still give ND a decent chance for a no. 1 or 2 seed.

#2 seed 21-12 (14-4) Wofford takes the Southern by 10 points over #1 seed 24-10 (14-4) College of Charleston.

Wofford a stellar 22 for 24 on Free Throws.

Taking the Sun Belt on a thriller game winning 3 pointer is #5 seed 19-16 (7-9) Arkansas-LR by 1 point over #4 seed 22-11 (8-8 ) N. Texas.

On a side note, a big shocker out of the Big East play in rounds, #15 seed, 10-22 (3-15) S. Florida by a point over #10 seed 21-11 (9-9) Villanova.

The 2010 National Championship runner up returns. #2 seed 23-9 (13-5) Butler takes the Horizon by 15 points over #1 seed 19-13 (13-5) WI-Milwaukee at Milwaukee's home court.

#1 seed 27-5 (16-2) Long Island takes the Northeast by 3 points in an overtime thriller over #3 seed 18-14 (12-6) Robert Morris.

1st time to the big dance in 14 years for Long Island.

LIU is another team that no one certainly wants to play. 27 wins even in a weak conference is pretty darn good!

#1 seed 21-10 (13-3) Northern Colorado takes the Big Sky by 5 points over #2 seed 21-10 (12-4) Montana.

This is Northern Colorado's 1st trip to the big dance.
