The Missouri Valley Conference has postponed the Indiana State-Southern Illinois men's basketball series (Jan. 9-10) at Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Ind., due to positive COVID-19 test results among Southern Illinois’ Tier I personnel, which consists of student-athletes, coaches, managers and staff. The Conference will announce make-up dates for the series/games at a later date.

The Sunday, Jan. 10, game was a Conference-selected digital production for distribution on ESPN3 through the ESPN app, but will be rescheduled as part of the make-up date process.



MVC athletically-related activities will take place only to the extent permitted by local environments and applicable national, state, local and institutional guidelines in order to safeguard the health and safety of participants, staff and fans. Schedule updates throughout the season will be posted on mvc-sports.com.
 
The Bradley women host the SIU women tonight at 6 pm (and tomorrow at 4 pm) in the Renaissance Coliseum.
Let's hope there aren't any personnel from SIU carrying the virus to Peoria.

BTW, there was one other cancellation due to Covid- the Loyola-Missouri State women's series this weekend was postponed due to Covid issues among the MIssouri State Tier 1 personnel-

The Missouri State women's team is the defending champions and the #1 pick for 2020-21 in the preseason poll.

The Drake-Loyola series this Sunday & Monday was just postponed due to Covid issues in the Drake program.

Drakes next series on Jan. 17-18 at Missouri State was also postponed.
But Loyola will not be idle this weekend. The MVC has scheduled the Loyola-Indiana State 2-game series for Sunday & Monday to replace the Drake-Loyola series. Indiana State was free this weekend, because they were scheduled to face SIU, but that series was also postponed because of Covid in the SIU program.
