2025 and beyond recruits

One new name for 2024- Sekou Konneh, a 6'8" forward at St. Thomas More HS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He is a teammate of another 2024 player that Bradley has had recruiting contact with-
Amari McCottry-

We seem to be having luck recruiting the Milwaukee area lately. Does Jimmy Foster get the credit as our lead recruiter for that area or is it another one of our coaching staff?

Most likely Jimmie is the one doing much of the work pursuing contacts in Wisconsin, especially now that Drew Adams and Brian Jones are gone. But, Mike Bargen also does a lot of the work scouting and evaluating recruits.

One-time Bradley class of 2024 recruit De'Kwon Brown is transferring schools again... He started out as a freshman at Peoria High School (2020-21), then transferred and played his sophomore season (2021-22) at Limestone HS. Then he returned to Peoria HS last season as a junior (2022-23). Now he is transferring again and will play the 2023-24 season in Chicago at Class 3A powerhouse, Neal F. Simeon Academy.
Simeon returns a bunch of talent from their 2022-23 team that lost in the IHSA title game last March to Metamora, though they will have a new head coach as log-time coaching legend Robert Smith retired.

Where do kids like this live when they transfer to a high school 3 hours away...and who is funding and feeding them?

Good question. In order to attend a Chicago public school, a kid has to establish residency in the city. I don't know who Brown will be living with, but it's supposed to be a legitimate family or guardian. Recall that Adam Miller also transferred to Chicago (Morgan Park HS). Chicago allows open enrollment at most of their public schools, meaning that if residency is established, they can attend any eligible school that hasn't reached their maximum. They also have a few "selective enrollment" schools that can only be attended by being accepted.

Stanton has several offers from really great academic schools so I'm guessing he must be a really smart kid. If he's looking at academics it will be difficult to get him to go to Bradley (and that's not really a knock on BU).

Stanton is one of the top shooters and scorers in the class of 2024. He's reported to be an outstanding student (4.0 GPA), and he is having a great spring, so far. IMO, he'll get Power 5 offers before he's done at Downers Grove North, though I think he might be better suited to play at a mid-major due to his size and Physical limitations.

Thanks for the videos DC. He would be a great replacement for Connor Hickman in two years (or sooner if he were to transfer to someone like Indiana).

A couple more recruits that Bradley has been in contact with-
2024 Jakob Blakley- 6' point guard at Elgin Larkin HS. He missed the first couple months of the 2022-23 season with an injury, but came on strong after he returned, and has had a nice spring with his Larkin team. He is reported to be a fine shooter and passer. He has offers from WIU and EIU.

2025 Dietrich Richardson- 6'6" guard from Manual HS in Peoria.
There are some web sources that say he is the son of former Peoria HS star D.J. Richardson, who played for Bruce Weber at Illinois (2009-13). But other sources report that he is D.J.'s nephew. DJ had a six year pro career overseas, and is now an assistant coach at East Peoria.

Chaminade is not really a private academy per se. It is a Catholic high school. It does attract a lot of D1 talent in various sports.

I was referring to the school being a private (Catholic) school as opposed to being a public school.

...
And Bradley continues to closely follow-
2024 Eoin Dillon- 6'9" forward at Peoria Notre Dame HS. We reported that Bradley was recruiting Eoin Dillon a year ago, but he has developed into a definite D1 prospect this past season, and continues to improve. He is playing with MidPro Academy this spring and summer.
