After starting the day 0-3 with UNI, Murray State, and Illinois State losing, it looks like there is a chance for the MVC to end up 3-3.
SIU is pounding New Mexico State by over 20 points in the final minutes- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401601496
And Indiana State has a double-digit lead over Pepperdine in the 2nd half- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401594424

All we need now is for Bradley to win the late game to break even at 3-3 on the day. :)

The Redbirds scored the 1st point of the game and that was their last lead. In an 8:00 stretch they got outscored 17-4 and the game was basically over. They had no one in double figures and turned it over 17 times while having just 5 assists.

SIU never trailed in this contest though it was close for about 15:00, SIU closed out the half on an 18-2 run and led 41-19 at the half. New Mexico State never got it under 20 in the 2nd half. Xavier Johnson led the Dogs with 18 points and 7 assists.

ISU Blue also never trailed in their contest beating Pepperdine 90-82. ISU led by as much as 17 in the 2nd half but Pepperdine cut the lead to 82-78 with 2:17 left. The Sycamores made back to back 3's to seal the deal. Isaiah Swope led ISU with 21 points, Robbie Avila had 18 points and 8 boards and former Brave Jayson Kent had 16 points. Jason could be a candidate for most improved as he's increased his scoring by 8 points, averages 13 points a game, and leads the Sycamores in rebounds at 6.3 a game while shooting at a 63% clip from the field.

Indiana State built a 17 point lead early in the 2nd half, shot 59.2% for the game, then held on for a 90-82 win over Pepperdine.- https://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=494697

Isaiah Swope had 21, Robbie Avila had 18 & 8, and Jayson Kent had 16 points, and recorded his first assist of the season.
Indiana State is now 4-1, and they play Toledo tomorrow at 1:00 pm in their third and final game in the Bawl Dogs Classic in Las Vegas.

SIU is easily the most “one man team” in the league. If Johnson gets injured I don’t see them winning any games.
