Then he was at Incarnate Word for his junior season, and at Sam Houston State for his senior season. UIC will be his 5th college in 5 years. And Tate Sage, who was verbally committed to Drake before their coaching change, is apparently not fully committed to the new coach yet, according to this recent tweet - https://x.com/Coach_Ritchhart/status/1913404986815361079

Tate Sage is all but committed. 6'7 wing that was committed to Drake. Just not "official" yet.

A couple more names-
2025 Kobe Walker- 6'9 forward at Normal Community HS. He also plays for the Mid-Pro Academy with Matthew Zobrist..

6'10", 250 lb All-State center Kobe Walker of Normal Community was recruited by Bradley, though it doesn't appear that Bradley offered.
He committed to Central Michigan last fall, but now he is decommitting and reopening his recruitment. Could Bradley be interested? - https://x.com/G_SullivanMPA/status/1909381320025030978

I don't know how involved Bradley was with Normal Community 6-10 big man Kobe Walker, but Walker had committed to Central Michigan way last fall. However, due to a coaching change there, Kobe Walker just re-opened his recruitment.
Walker averaged 19.1 ppg and 12.2 rpg in his high school senior season., and we need size.....

Valparaiso Head Coach Roger Powell continues to do a good job recruiting the transfer portal, as Valpo lands Kobe Walker, a 6'9", class of 2025 low post player from Normal Community High School, who had committed to Central Michigan, but decommitted a couple weeks ago.
It appears that Bradley was not involved in recruiting Kobe Walker in the portal, though as the above post from July, 2024 shows, Bradley did have some recruiting contact prior to his senior year at NCHS.
This is somewhat surprising to me. Valparaiso has the worst fan support among Valley teams, and they lost nearly all their significant talent from 2024-25. And I have heard they have very little in the way of NIL to offer. They also just signed another big man, Shon Tupuola, a 6'9" sophomore center from NAIA St. Mary of the Woods College, whose game is similar to Walker's.

Maybe the sell to recruits is you get immediate playing time at Valpo and turn into a more lucrative deal at your second school? We'd like to think that MVC school's are recruiting guys that will finish their careers at a specific school, but in the real world it just isn't happening. And for a school like Valpo, becoming a one and done type school is their only path to contention.

Keishon Porter is a 6'5" senior guard at North Carolina Central University. He played 2 years at Radford, then a year at a junior college (Cape Fear CC), and the last 2 years at NCCU. He could have one season of eligibility left because of his time at the junior college. He averaged 10.8 ppg this past season at NCCU.

Illinois State gets a commitment from Butler transfer Landon Moore, a 6'3" junior guard. He averaged 3.2 ppg, 1.7 rpg, and 1.3 apg in 35 games. He shot 21.4% from three.
He played his freshman season at St. Francis of Pennsylvania, where he averaged 13.1 ppg and was named to the Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team. He played the last 2 seasons at Butler, where he played mostly a reserve role. He is originally from Bloomington, Illinois and played at Bloomington HS. - https://x.com/hardwiredsports/status/1914793618121842998

And I am not sure where all these transfers to Murray State are going to find playing time, but they have signed another one-
Dylan Anderson, a transfer from Boise State, has committed to Murray State, becoming their 9th portal transfer.
He is a 7'0" redshirt sophomore forward who played his freshman season at Arizona in 2022-23, and averaged 1.4 ppg in very limited play. He redshirted the 2023-24 season at Arizona, then transferred a year ago to Boise State. In this past season at Boise State, he played in 24 games, starting 11, and averaged 3.5 ppg and 1.7 rpg.

K.J. Tenner- 6' guard

Tristian Ford- 6'4" guard

Drake gets a portal transfer- 6'6" sophomore forward Wilguens Jr. Exacte from Bowling Green University. He played his freshman season at Utah and played this past season at Bowling Green. He is originally from Monteral, Quebec. As a sophomore, he averaged 4.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 37.0% FG%, and 25.9% from three. - https://x.com/portal_updates/status/1915216446390698342

UIC lands another portal transfer - Ante Beljan, 6'8" redshirt-sophomore forward from Little Rock. He is from Croatia. His freshman season at Little Rock was 2022-23, and he averaged 2.1 ppg and 0.9 rpg in limited playing time. Then in 2023-24 he played in only one game before an injury ended his season and he took a medical redshirt. Then this past season (2-24-25) as a redshirt-sophomore, he started all 33 games, played 28 minutes per game, and averaged 10.1 ppg and 4.5 rpg, and he shot 57% from the floor.

UNI gets a commitment from 6'9" junior Ismaël Diouf of North Carolina State. He averaged 2.2 ppg and 1.4 rpg in limited play. He is from Quebec, Canada, and should have 2 seasons of eligibility left because he played his first 2 seasons at a college in Canada (Laval University). In his second season playing at Laval University, he averaged 11.1 ppg and 7.0 rpg - https://x.com/GoodmanHoops/status/1915472886061535381

some UNI fans seem to think he's defensively like Malevy Leons.
But there's something I have yet to figure out....
After Diouf played two years at Laval University in Canada, he was drafted with the #1 pick in the
Canadian professional league draft (CEBL)-

He then joined the Montreal Alliance (top pro Canadian team) right away in spring of 2024 and played five games with them, putting up near-negligible stats.
He then left the team and signed to play for NC State in 2024-25 and was deemed eligible & played little, averaging 8 min per game. He was held out of two early non-conference games but then granted eligibility for the rest of the season.

So why was there no big issue that the guy played professionally?

He probably never got paid a salary. Rienk Mast and Malevy Leons played for professional Club teams in The Netherlands before playing in the US, but as long as they remained amateurs and didn't accept payment, they retained their NCAA eligibility.

But he did
that is why the article said Kevin Keatts had to hold him out 2 games
Meanwhile POB lost 8 games for getting overpaid in a summer job and schools are getting hit for spending $76 hosting a recruit visit.

Sterling Young of Florida A&M University- 6'1" senior guard at FAMU. He played 2 years at Pratt CC in Kansas, and one season at Charlotte before transferring to FAMU for his senior year in 2024-25. He was named the SWAC Player of the Year. He averaged 17.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, and 1.7 apg. He is originally from NY City.
He has 2 years of eligibility left, for his senior year plus an extra year because of the time at juco. He only played in 5 games in 2023-24 at Charlotte, but because one of them was as late as March of that season, he doesn't automatically qualify for a redshirt designation. But he might try for a waiver for that year, as well.
